Eh, I'm still perfectly fine with them letting Curtis walk. And getting Robby for cheap was a good move too. What didn't make sense was then giving Robby the extension. They should've just drafted Marshall and let Robby's contract run out, let him walk, and then Marshall take over as WR2.

It's a common theme with the Panthers rebuild. Year 1 went almost perfect. Year 2 was a disaster.

 

Shi Smith is going to be a pretty good option for us too. Rolling with Marshall as WR2 and Shi in the slot is exciting but we probably still need another veteran receiver in the mix. Just one that is much cheaper than Robby.

 

Marshall needs to actually get on the field and take over the WR3 before anyone can talk about him being that team’s WR2

Just a disaster situation in that WR room now. Get DJ Moore out of there and bring him back to Philly. He deserves better

 

so you want him to go from one "disaster" to another???

 

Why the conflicting sentences

 

Didn’t stop DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and Quez Watkins from having good seasons relative to expectations and at least the Eagles weren’t trying to convince themselves on Sam Darnold

 

Literally anything is better than Darnold, Rhule, and that dumpster fire in Carolina

Last season was a disaster for sure. But that's what the offseason is for. Still plenty of talent on the Panthers. If they fix the OL and find a decent stopgap QB we'll be just fine as one of the younger teams in the league.

 

Moore is from the area. He should be well aware of how Eagles fans behave. Plus, he’s good so they’re not gonna bag on him

 

Also, I will not stand for Jalen Hurts slander when there are teams out here still trying to convince themselves on Jameis, Teddy, and Jimmy G

Just let the Eagles rebuild their aging roster with a QB on a rookie contract so they can address QB next year if they don’t like the incoming rookies

 

Slander them if they trade for Deshaun Watson

Don't let this be me banging on the table for Teddy lol but trading him last year was so dumb. He was perfectly fine as the stopgap guy that can game manage while we flip the roster. He wasn't on a rookie deal but compared to most starting QBs, he was "cheap". And he's obviously better than Sam.

We should've just stuck with Teddy, drafted Slater and we'd have much more flexibility this offseason.

 

Yeah the Teddy contract was weird. I would have been with the Panthers signing him to a one-year deal. Everything since then has been verifiably bad

 

our OL as a whole wasn’t terrible. But we definitely have a big hole at tackle. Also, no tackle is a can’t miss prospect, I think it’s a fine call to take the 350 pound guy with surprisingly quick foot speed while you can because that combo is rare. Having a guy with great kickslides / mirrors who will also have no problem with bull rush is as convincing as a prospect can get

Thibs would be amazing though don’t get me wrong. But I understand going tackle simply because we have a young QB and we do already have at least one blue chip pass rusher.

 

And people like to blame Rhule for everything, but like I've said, year 1 of Rhule and the rebuild went pretty well. Then Fitterer was hired as GM and we started making terrible moves. I'm not saying it was all Fitt, because honestly none of us know who was calling the shots, but I just find it funny that Rhule gets destroyed for the bad moves and Fitt gets praised for anything good.

 

I think it’s interesting that you think it’s only Ojabo that benefitted from Hutchinson. I think that went both ways, and while Hutch’s def production was higher than Thib’s last season, it prob had a lot to do with Hutch having better guys next to him

Hutch might still be better but it isn’t clear cut. I’d be stoked with either. Thibs and Allen are both explosive af off the snap so it’s hard not to get excited about the possibility of getting pressure in 2 seconds or less on a regular basis

 

I will rightfully destroy Rhule for basically hiring Brady because they weren’t running the ball 33+ times per game
