like, Saints need a QB for sure... I don't like Winston at all and never have But none of these QBs in this class is a near-guarantee to improve the team right away and be a long term piece like Cross is. It's better for them to keep a very good line together for 1) Kamara to continue to lead this offense and 2) to help support whatever raw / traits-based prospect they eventually draft.
I completely, 100% agree. If Mahomes is out there, sure take the stud and figure it out later. But all of these guys need a lot of help around them so may as well get the help first and see what happens later in life.
I'll also say this: Cross may have been a steal at this pick, but I'm still honestly 2,000% content with Neal at pick 1. I'm good with any of the top 3 guys, obviously an elite pass rush is one of the best things you can have, but I have officially convinced myself that Neal is THE move. The more tape I watch on him the more I love him. The idea of nailing a long-term strong starter at tackle the year after we drafted Lawrence, and them developing a 10-year relationship or more, is delicious to me.
imo it's a good reason to be team trade down, but that reasoning is mutually exclusive from being #TeamAidan not wanting Houston to get Aidan is a better reason to be #TeamAidan, but even still I'd rather get a guy who can block WHOEVER Houston throws at me cause they can easily draft Walker or Thibs too.
That's really what gets me with Neal - i love all those pass rushers but at the end of the day I think Neal could block any of them and do a pretty good job. That kind of confidence in a player at a very difficult-to-nail position, tells me I should value him most.
to be fair i said he was perfect for seattle in a bad way haha. They like to draft OL with potential and then tap into zero of it.
With the 19th pick in the 2022 NFL draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Drake London, WR, USC. Zach Pascal be damned! The Eagles must continue to add to their WR room and London gives them something the Eagles are currently lacking: size. Bringing in London will give HC Nick Sirianni a WR corps that provides him flexibility to move his receivers all around the formation. London provides the Eagles physicality not just at the catch point, but in the run game as well. He can also become another featured receiver in the red zone for the Eagles. With a background in basketball, Sirianni will love London's competitive spirit when he challenges London at the mini-basketball hoop. Once those skills translate onto the field, look the frick out.
Steelers select Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh. I don’t expect the board to fall this way, but if Pickett falls to this spot, I think it’s be hard for Pittsburgh to pass up on him. @EntryLevelDave Pats up
I debated between London and Olave for the last Eagles pick so Dave should be thrilled to see Olave still on the board
With the 21st pick, the Green Bay Packers select: Chris Olave - Wide Receiver - Ohio State GB moves up to ensure they get Aaron Rogers some polished help at wideout. He's a strong fit in LaFleur's offense because he can play outside and in the slot with the ability to run a diverse route tree.
The Patriots select Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa The #1 goal in my offseason is helping Mac. Why Bill doesn’t want to do that is beyond me but oh well. Olave would have been the more fun way to do that, but keeping Mac standing is the prudent way to do it. I’m gonna kick Wynn inside and have the biggest wall ever in front of Mac between Penning and Brown. Penning and Andrews may also actually murder a human at least once a year so will have to keep an eye on that lol
