A-grade Jets draft in particular. My only thing is I’m not personally a Dotson fan but the rest of this draft offsets that
Lions: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn Jalen Tolbert, WR, South Alabama Brian Asamoah, LB, Oklahoma Yes please
I like your Pats draft! Honestly I haven’t watched much of the Bucs players you drafted so I can’t really judge haha, Zion Johnson is outstanding though & I think he could easily go earlier. I kinda don’t even have my hopes up he’ll fall to round 2
Tennessee Titans select Thayer Munford, OL, Ohio State Titans OL is pretty good and Munford won’t need to be rushed. He has position versatility and should be able to develop into a solid starter somewhere on the line.
1) this is the Panthers pick, it’s the 5th you got back for CJ Henderson 2) @CarpetElf said he won’t be updating round 5 for this mock haha
Carolina Panthers select Jalyn Armour-Davis, CB, Alabama Dart throws this late are ok. Davis has all the traits to be a good corner. Like with my last pick, Verone McKinley, Jalyn will be walking into a really good DB room and given plenty of opportunity to develop.
Carolina Panthers: Jimmy Garoppolo* Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State Verone McKinley III, S, Oregon Jalyn Armour-Davis, CB, Alabama I don't think we'll actually target Jimmy G irl, but in a world where we get Ekwonu at #6, I don't think it's a bad option. As far as the roster is concerned, Jimmy G would be in a similar situation to what he's been successful with previously. The other two picks are guys I think have really solid potential and won't be rushed into a prominent role early. I think that roster is pretty good Seattle Seahawks: Baker Mayfield* Kyle Hamilton, S/LB, Notre Dame Daniel Faalele, OT, Minnesota Nicholas Petit-Frere, OT, Ohio State Josh Jobe, CB, Alabama I feel like I was able to make-up for my ultimate luxury pick by landing two potential day-one starting tackles in the second round. And I think Jobe is a great fit for Seattle. If the two tackles workout, I think Seattle would be in good shape going into the season even after losing Russell Wilson. Tennessee Titans: Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia James Cook, RB, Georgia Tyreke Smith, EDGE, Ohio State Thayer Munford, OL, Ohio State Love my Titans draft. LB is a massive need for them imo and I think Dean is the best LB in the draft. Then they get a straight stud in Cook to help take the load off Henry, and eventually takeover as the main guy. The two Buckeyes are a bit 'boom or bust' but the value was there when the pick was made. Arizona Cardinals: John Metchie III, WR, Alabama Nik Bonitto, EDGE, Oklahoma Marcus Jones, CB, Houston People hated my Metchie pick but I stand by it. Theme of this Cardinals draft was speed. San Francisco 49ers: Darian Kinnard, IOL, Kentucky Alontae Taylor, CB, Tennessee Tyquan Thornton, WR, Baylor Jake Ferguson, TE, Wisconsin (Traded Jimmy G) SF was a group pick that I think I made all the picks for haha. Kinnard will replace Laken Tomlinson. Tyquan Thornton's speed will be utilized in that offense. And Jake Ferguson adds a new wrinkle and will allow Shanahan to be even more creative in his scheming.
Atlanta Falcons: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas Boye Mafe, EDGE, Minnesota Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati Kenneth Walker III, RB, Michigan State Calvin Austin III, WR, Memphis Sean Rhyan, LG, UCLA The Falcons rebuild lasted all of two months. They hired an offensive guru in Arthur Smith to turn them around, now they go into 2022 with Ridder, Walker, Burks, Austin, and Pitts. The NFC South still runs through Tampa but the Falcons, for having one of the worst rosters in football, still won seven games last year. Cincinnati Bengals: Tariq Woolen, CB, UTSA Travis Jones, DT, UConn Jelani Woods, TE, Virginia Cade Mays, OL, Tennessee This is honestly one of my least favorite classes on paper. In theory it could be ELITE but it's betting on the development of 3/4 of their guys. Travis Jones at the end of the second is great value. Woolen, Woods, and Mays are all very raw but their potential is ENORMOUS. None of them will operate as the starter this year though. New York Giants: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia Jalen Pitre, S, Baylor Troy Anderson, LB, Montana State Josh Paschal, EDGE, Kentucky Cam Jurgens, C, Nebraska the Giants have Daboll and Kafka - there is no better destination for a QB. Dexter-Davis-Leonard is an incredible run-stopping front. Pitre immediately upgrades their safety room. Anderson has incredible potential that Wink should be able to tap into. Paschal was a ridiculous steal, like Azeez was last year. They're gonna make the league pay for that this year. Cam Jurgens is an absolute mauler. The Giants have this draft and I'm giving the NFC East one year to get their shit together cause the Giants could claim the top spot for years. Washington Commencement Address: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State Christian Harris, LB, Alabama Jerretth Sterns, WR, Western Kentucky I like Ron. He's a good coach. It's time to shit or get off the pot though. Their defense literally has no "holes" after drafting Harris. They have 11 players that should be performing. Their offense has two potentially elite receivers now plus I have to imagine a decent slot option now. There's just no excuse for this team not to be in the playoffs and making a run.
At this point I might submit an applications to the Titans FOR @Swoos cause wtf lol Also that Seahawks draft is BUTT and also 100% what is going to happen.
We’ve got about one more draft in us before it’s actually here. We should have it where nobody takes their primary team. No jags for Matt or Randall, no Pats for me etc. thoughts?
