Yeah, that's why I took WR for both Pittsburgh and Buffalo this round. They are just flying off the board.
I've really talked myself out of this WR class. Like if we can do Devin Lloyd and a WR in the 2nd yay but somehow they've created more holes on the line and in the secondary and those are harder to fill.
I’ve been trying to trade up with Seattle and forgot I don’t even have that 3rd lol it went to Cleveland for Baker
i thought for sure I was safe after you took Pierce and Wan’Dale. I was like: And then I saw 3 teams supposedly all with SET WR corps Lmao. So I didn’t trade up I was like “eh Trevor’s guy will fall to us”
Cincinnati Bengals select Travis Jones, DT, UConn They came in to the draft wanting a high upside corner to replace Eli Apple next year, and another monster at DT. Mission accomplished. One of the best run stoppers in the draft and a solid enough pass rusher as well. Najee gonna average 0 YPC.
Denver Broncos select Abraham Lucas, OT, Washington State The Broncos need a right tackle desperately and I love this guy. Needs work in the run game but he's one of the best pass blockers in the class.
Jags select Logan Hall, 3-4 DE, Houston All this talk about him being a “tweener” is bullshit - it only applies to 4-3 defenses. We all know 3-4 is the prevailing NFL norm now baby. This aggressive cougar of a defensive end is great at using his length, and rarely is caught slipping on tape letting a guy lock him out by the chest. He stays active and has all kinda ninja moves to get the motherfucker off him. He has outstanding inside moves in particular which is great for a two gap end, and moves to make plays against the run (though his read and react skills here could stand to improve). He likes to use his body like a wrecking ball through two people and then keep the lane open with his strong arms - very Cam Heyward-like. If he builds 20 pounds he’ll be a menace, and he’s kinda slim right now, doesn’t look maxed out. Great burst too, even if he only tested okay. I mostly just like the tenacity and the effort to hit blockers at multiple different angles and stay high intensity the whole game. Sooner or later the dude across from him breaks down. He’s made to play in a 3-4 like Mike Caldwell’s.
DaVon Hamilton, Foley Fatukasi, Logan Hall is an interior line I can get behind. put DaVon on Josh Allen’s side to eat blocks and put Hall on the other side to generate extra pass rush across from Allen.
Foley isn't good FYI He was in 2020 as a rotational player and he's a good leader, but he stunk in 2021.
well, DaVon can play nose as well in that situation. Can only really add one person at a time haha the Jags have kinda hamstrung me with how they decided to approach the beginning of their rebuild
The dream is Etienne and Ross healthy, and Tee Higgins in FA when Cincy inevitably lets him walk to make room for a record setting Ja’Marr Chase contract bring the gang back together BB. (And lose to Burrow / Chase in the AFC championship again)
