The Cincinnati Bengals select Tariq Woolen, CB, UTSA The rumor around twitter is the Bengals are going to be looking at CB and DT in the first round. I like but don't love my options at both positions here so I'm betting on upside and holy shit does Woolen have it. 6'4" 205lbs 4.25 speed with a 42 vert. He was expected to test well and he sure did. He's raw but the Bengals can work that out with him rotating with Eli Apple his rookie season. If he develops, his athleticism alone could make him one of the most dangerous corners in the game.
Lions select Devin Lloyd, LB Utah. Genuinely can’t believe he fell this far. Lions could very much use a LB, given the lack of production that’s come there basically since we lost DeAndre Levy. Lloyd would slot in perfectly and be a day 1 starter. Adding him along with Thibodeaux helps revamp the defense dramatically.
Scale of 1-10 how much would this thread have ridiculed me if i traded 54 + a 2023 first for 32 to get Devin Lloyd lol / @Joe4th were you gonna bite or is it moot haha
I hate the value here now that Lloyd is gone. Stupid ass Jags had to leave a gaping hole at LB cutting Jack for no reason, which probably also made it extremely obvious Joe had to take Lloyd at 32 and couldn’t wait till 34. Can I trade down with the Saints here?I would take the same deal as Jax as I offered to Joe
If no one has a problem with that, anyway? Or wants to try to send me a better offer than the Saints can provide?
Alright Jags have traded pick 33 to the Saints for picks 49, 98, and 101 Saints select Sam Howell, QB, North Carolina. If Howell falls to the second round QB needy teams like the Saints gotta pull the trigger. That’s the best opportunity they’re gonna get without giving up serious assets. Fuck Jameis Winston he’s a rapist who’s never been an actual good football player. They can use this year to scapegoat him while they cut some cap casualties & Howell learns on the bench. It’s time for this front office to stop playing hot potato while they dig themselves into deeper cap debt.
Lions select Roger McCreary, DB Auburn our secondary is bad. There’s so many question marks all over for it, and injury concerns as well. Getting a bonafide starter to line up and be coached by Glenn, who’s done an amazing job with the secondary given it’s limitations, is a no brainer.
