While we wait for the Bills.... Where would draft prospect Mac Jones be selected if he was part of this class? Edit: Oh, didn't realize he drafted haha
Malik Willis might go before him — it’s apples and oranges between the QB who accomplished all you can accomplish in college but may not be the prototypical QB prospect and the prototypical QB prospect you’d drool over the workout results for who couldn’t win a QB job over Jarrett Stidham or Bo Nix and looked middling at Liberty. I was a noted Mac Jones hater in the pre-draft process, but don’t have a great argument for any of Pickett, Corral, or Howell over him
I'd definitely have Mac in the same tier as Howell/Pickett, don't know who I would have #1, might be Mac but also like...really easy for me to accidentally use hindsight in this scenario and that ain't fair haha
I might have Howell above Pickett but I don't have Mac above Pickett but I have him above Howell so in short I have absolutely no idea
Tennessee Titans select Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa Penning has become somewhat of a fan favorite due to his nastiness and physical style of play. Admittedly, that’s what has drawn me to him as well. It’s also why I think he is a great pick for a team like the Titans. I’d love to see him line up at RT, opposite of Taylor Lewan who also plays with that same menacing attitude. As intriguing as Penning’s rough play is, it also leads to some unnecessary penalties at times. However, I think Vrabel is the perfect coach for his development. He is the type of player that guys like Vrabel want on their team, and I can see Vrabel being successful at instilling some discipline into Penning’s game. Buckle your chin straps when playing the Titans. Lewan and Penning will maul you, and Derrick Henry will finish the job.
I kinda want the Colts to get whoever falls furthest of Corral/Pickett/Willis/Howell as long as it’s no earlier than their current second rounder, but last time I got excited about something like that, it was getting Eason who fell much further than I expected and he promptly lost his job to the best 6th round QB pick of all time despite Ehlinger getting hurt for the first 1/4 of the season and having an extra year of experience in the offense
Personally I vote we just go by 2021 NFL Team Draft Order | The Draft Network for all order related questions just to have a standard to work off.
I think because we don't know, and need to make it fair, I can claim both picks for the Cowboys instead
Noted Rams fan Randall Mentzos just wants the Rams to get a better pick. (isn’t it the Lions pick anyways?) Will his pro Rams bias ever cease?
It'd be funny if after the Sewell/Chase debate you told people both teams would be picking 31 and 32 anyway
Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Drake London, WR, USC Is Kyle Trask the guy? He's certainly worth a look. With Chris Godwin likely leaving in free agency and Antonio Brown leaving at halftime, the Bucs are short on receivers. I love Jaelan Darden in the slot and as a deep threat. But as a WR2? I'm not sure if he's there. Drake London is a guy I absolutely love and I think receiver wise this is easily the best value so far. He's up there with Burks and Jameson. Dude is a freakish athlete and having two Mike Evans-sized guys is just an unfair mismatch for opposing defenses.
