@Swoos: “how can I piss Randall off with the Titans in every year’s mock drafts. I’ve looked forward to this all year”

  2. I literally texted this to Matt this morning lol

idk man if the Jags can do it I’m more inclined to say the Pats just played bad that day lol

lol isn't it more likely that the Bills just played bad against the Jags than it is losing 3 out of the last 4 and the only win being in a monsoon is a fluke?

We held them to 6 points haha. They’re not impenetrable.

Bills played bad against a couple teams that they should’ve beat in that portion of the season

I’m not gonna say I have all the answers but I am gonna say Belichick hasn’t had this much trouble stopping another team’s offense in a LONG time and I’m inclined to believe he doesn’t need fast LBs to figure it out

if this was Madden I’d think differently. Fast LBs are my life blood in Madden lol

The Arizona Cardinals select: David Ojabo, Edge, Michigan

Chandler Jones is getting up there in age and the defense could use an injection of youth on the line. There are other positions they need but I feel like the Edge group is super top heavy so I'd rather start there and move on.

But Josh Allen, good as he is, still has clear weaknesses that *can* be exploited. That offense definitely doesn’t make it easy but it’s not like he’s an unshakeable QB, especially when you force him to stay in the pocket. He’s capable of passing from the pocket but he’s not comfortable STAYING in there… he hates not being able to change angles and throw on the run. The tough part is making sure Knox and Diggs stay pretty well covered downfield at the same time, which is more on your safeties really

"Bill hasn't had this much trouble with an offense in a LONG time so the trick is just to continue doing exactly what you're doing that's giving you trouble."

Last call if anyone wants to come up to 24, Pats are on the clock now.

Im sure he will change his strategic approach to game planning for the Bills, never said he should do the exact same thing.

Im just saying you don’t necessarily need different players to defend against them differently, and given Belichick’s defensive scheme has been one of the best in the league for 25 years… I don’t think it’s the player archetypes he targets that are the problem just because they’re struggling with one team that plays a very unique style of offense. You wouldn’t wanna sacrifice what Bill is good at against everyone else just for one team

    Actually, for 35 years*

His defense was elite under Parcells in NY too lol

The New England Patriots select: Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn

Steph is gone, J.C. Jackson is probably catching a franchise tag and the rest of the depth chart isn't the most exciting. This pick gives J.C. a bonafide counterpart. Dude is able to play both man and zone, allowing Bill to continue to scheme to the opponent's strength as opposed to a "we are what we are" approach.

The AFC now features the absolute best of the best at QB and going in with Joe-Juan Williams employed and Jalen Mills locked in as CB2 is borderline malpractice.

Please hold, need to get caught up. Big Rona has been kicking my ass. Will edit this post and tag the next person when I get myself together.

The Buffalo Bills select Zion Johnson, IOL, Boston College.

With #1 target in this range Roger McCreary off the board I pivot to another important area to upgrade in the interior OL. Not sure exactly what they'll be doing scheme wise with the transition from Brian Daboll and Bobby Johnson coaching to Ken Dorsey and Aaron Kromer but IMO the #1 and #2 issues to correct on the OL is PICKING A SCHEME and then getting 5 guys who can all do that together instead of the hilarious mishmosh they've done for two years while Josh Allen does superhero shit.

Ryan Bates was really, really good for the last 5-6 games at LG and if they think they have something there, I'd be happy to see him back. Or even shifted over to RG. But really I think they need to get 2 guards who can move. Dion Dawkins, Mitch Morse and Spencer Brown can all get on their horse. Having immobile guards between them makes no sense.

The Bills can move on from Jon Feliciano (bad) and Daryl Williams (expensive) this off-season if they can get two suitable guys in the fold, and I'd very much welcome some fresh faces there. Zion Johnson really seems to fit the mold of guys they like, and having moved to BC from Davidson might even have some untapped potential that Aaron Kromer can get out of him. The only thing that would have made me happier with this pick is if he was able to play C as I think they need to get Mitch Morse's heir apparent in sooner rather than later.

    @Swoos titan up

I always do so I've just been trying to keep on it even though the fatigue makes it an effort to go refill sometimes. For me it's been like a nasty cold with the fatigue from the flu + some headaches. I hit a brick wall at like 1pm every day.

Also you just took my guy so now I really have to study

I swear to god if the Patriots take McCreary in real life after jumping the Bills for Kyle Duggar I'm gonna be big mad. He's absolutely their type of CB

I had like 3 or 4 options in there but none of them screamed "this will actually help you against Buffalo" more so I went there. I know the obvious choice would have been to stay at 21 and take Olave but I feel like there's plenty of WR options left still.
