DeMarvin Leal | DE | Texas A&M



The Eagles LOVE drafting the lines early. Obviously with the load of picks they had in the first round they addressed the QB position with a major trade with Seattle in acquiring Russell Wilson and then addressing the backend of the defense with Sauce Gardner.

Brandon Graham had a brutal injury early in the 2021-22 campaign but is expected to be ready to go next season but he will be turning 34 in April. How much longer does he have? Not long if I had to guess. Derek Barnett is likely going to be with a new squad as he is a free agent and the Eagles won't (and shouldn't) pay him what he will likely command because 1) he isn't that good and 2) they just gave Josh Sweat a ton of money to essentially have the job that was his.

Insert Leal here where he can learn from BG for a year or two before taking over the starter role.

in general, feels like every DL outside of the top 10 has gone at a very nice value

 

Cleveland would be open to moving down a few spots from 44. I have a guy picked out and I think he’s a bit of a reach.

Jamin Davis had an awful rookie year and they still need linebackers that can shed blocks

Jordan Davis was gonna be the pick at 8 until he went to the Giants so the Falcons wind up picking up Kyle Hamilton and now Wyatt to add some explosiveness and versatility on the line.

Cleveland Browns select Phidarian Mathis, DT, Alabama




I haven’t dove too deep into this DL class yet but Mathis is a guy that has jumped out to me so far. He size and power are obvious but I liked how quick his feet were and his motor. Should help improve their run defense and will benefit from playing on a line with Myles Garrett. He won’t face many double teams and should be able to disrupt the pocket.

Welp, the worst-case scenario kinda happened for me. I got greedy and tried to hold out on getting Mac some help until the second and saw guys I love in Pickens and Metchie and Dotson get gobbled up. We picked up a 4th trading down a bit in the first so this is a borderline free trade up to ensure I get a guy I really like in the WR room for Mac.

Bell is a big target, his body fits what the Pats have been targeting lately and the dude has a lot of traits and tape showing what the Pats want between quick game stuff and designed screens and manufactured touches.
