Honestly not really, this is baseball after all, where all the "good ole boys" come out to play

 

I will never forget I was at a game maybe 10ish years ago now and pregame there was a ceremony for this player’s foundation and he had his family there and was talking about how much he loves his wife and kids, and how important they are and that’s why he started this charity etc. The person I was at the game with (who is very connected) turns to me and says “hope his 29 girlfriend’s in the other MLB cities aren’t watching this” and went on to tell me what a scumbag this player is and once he gets on the team airplane the wedding ring comes off. And that’s one of the “nicer” stories I’ve heard of some of these players.

 

All the baseball players I knew in hs or college were always the biggest assholes.
