Vlads 2022 tOPS+ against the Yankees was 101 (it’s normalized to 100) meaning he had the most neutral vanilla performance imaginable against the yanks: not even the tiniest bit better or worse than he was overall haha. Blue Jays team performance and obvious trolling aside it’s hilarious to me he happened to pick the team that, based on outcomes, was neither difficult nor easy for him to face

article in the athletic from last week that I just read about possible MLB expansion indicates the top cities being targeted (to go to 32 teams) are;

- Nashville
- Portland
- Vancouver
- Las Vegas
- Charlotte

Nashville is apparently the #1 primo choice right now, and they even have a name for the team (Nashville Stars) -idk how new or old that news is - but per Manfred, absolutely no discussion on further expansion will take place until the 'stadium impasses' in oakland and tampa are resolved, whether its building new stadiums or moving the teams entirely.

 

oh the Nashville Stars were a Negro League team, i didn't know that, so a pretty cool way to honor that if they brought it to MLB.
