i'd feel fine paying verlander that much considering how insane he has been

sort of like nelson cruz, just keep betting on him until he well and truly sucks and he hasn't been close to sucking since 2014

Honestly, if you're going to take a hardline anti-cheating stance, I can see it. Beltran, Manny, and A-Rod are the three best players on the ballot but all three were either suspended or likely would have been had Beltran kept his job in some kind of scandal. Wouldn't be my ballot, but I think we're kinda in a year where the "there is no bad ballot that has Rolen on it" might hold

 

To me there is def a difference between being punished for cheating after it was disallowed and those that baseball allowed to get away with it. Again, if Bud Selig is in the Hall, there's no excuse for Bonds or Clemens not to be

Kind of a weird direction the Mets have gone with their rotation, especially compared to the homegrown rotation of the past decade. There's something that doesn't feel quite right about Scherzer and Verlander being Mets, although I guess if they win the world series, it will feel quite a bit different haha

 

its gonna be weird seeing Verlander mets shirts, just like it was weird seeing Lindor and Scherzer ones at first hah

 

what you have to do after the Wilpons/BVW traded away arms to develop and have no one coming down the line. It is weird to see but be hired guns to get the job done we won't complain
