The Mets are a genuinely good team. The rotation is elite, even with a couple of injuries. The lineup is certainly well above average and can have its breakout moments, like today. The bullpen is bad, but it shouldn't be catastrophic enough to cost them in the regular season.

My question: how does it all fall apart? It has to fall apart, right? Even in seasons where the Mets are good and make the playoffs, there's usually a moment where it all goes wrong. That being said, I certainly wouldn't complain if they stay in first in the division all year
