February and March had soooooo many good releases. I know there are other albums I’m excited about in the works, but there’s nothing I’m anticipating right now that I know of coming out in April, May or June. Feels strange.

My favorite album of the year is from a band I can't even pronounce the name of lol. I'm seriously in love with this record. Reminds me a ton of tricot, leaning more in a shoegaze-y direction. Catchy as fuck.

I like your symbol for revisit. There's albums that just don't hit at first, but given the recs from others I feel like I would like it with more listens. So far I also feel that way with Oso Oso, Caracara, and A Wilhelm Scream.

So I'm doing some spring cleaning and found some digital download codes in my cabinet. I'm pretty sure these haven't been redeemed, first come first serve.

    Not sure who - redeem.thesoundofvinyl.com code: SG69H7925

Phoebe Bridgers - Stranger In the Alps - http://download.deadoceans.com code: DOC142.11RBVNRP

    Manchester Orchestra - Simple Math - themanchesterorchestra.com/smalbumdownload code: 2RDRCRT47GPVN42

    King of all He purveys...

The Rolling Stones just released Live at the El Mocambo.

A concert they recorded back in '77.

    From NME:
"The Stones performed their pair of El Mocambo gigs under the name The Cockroaches, appearing on the bill alongside Canadian rock band April Wine. Mick Jagger and co played tracks such as ‘Honky Tonk Women’, ‘Brown Sugar’ and ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’."

    Fun fact, eh?

I felt late June and early July were quite dry. But just recently (last two weeks) I've enjoyed Camp Trash, Paolo Nutini, Noso, Pool Kids, Beach Bunny and Anthony Green.

  25. Oh shit, Paolo Nutini.

"New Shoes" was an iTunes Single of the Week or whatever once and it's still one of my favorite songs for when I'm in the right mood. May as well check out what he's been up to...
