I really like Hronek and he’s having a career year, but I don’t know why a team like Vancouver is making that deal right now lol

 

Hronek is a disaster defensively. He’s good offensively, but for a Vancouver team that’s bad defensively, he’s not moving the needle

curious to see what else Stevie is cooking up

 

i hope to god it’s something because say what you want about hronek, they do NOT have very good depth options and the only RHDs left on the roster are Seider/Lindstrom/Oesterle… Oesterle is hurt. they might have to flip Chiarot to the right side and either go with Hagg for now or call up a guy from GR… they have a million LHD prospects down there.

 

this is precisely why i like the move. hronek is having a career year. he has been kinda bad in the second half, but i do think detroit is gonna miss him more than people realize currently. it’s not always easy to produce top 4 dmen, and hronek was definitely the best home grown dman they had since Kronwall up until Seider was drafted.

 

For sure. I’m assuming this all but guarantees Edvinsson on the roster next year, maybe Wallinder too considering all the guys with contracts expiring (Hagg, Lindstrom, Oesterle, Pisser, etc)

 

This would be cool.

 

Edvinsson is probably getting called up, he’s been improving a ton in GR

 

Hopefully we can get a team to retain salary on a solid fwd. One more move and I'd be pretty happy with this deadline. One of the guys mentioned before from the Flames would work just fine.
