Carolina just needs to bite the bullet and fork up the better package, they have the assets and they can’t pass this one up. The fact that they almost had a Tkachuk trade wrapped up with Calgary before Florida snuck in last minute makes me confident they know this one is the right one to capitalize on.

I mean if you're winning the stats battle but losing the game, then it's goaltending that's the issue. Andersen was trash last night. He also took like three shots and a knee to the head, not sure why he kept playing.

Also, losing to the rangers needs to stop living rent free in canes (and pens) fans. This team is not the juggernaut you construct a roster around to beat.

 

It’s less about the Rangers specifically and more about the fact that the last four years in the playoffs Carolina has been slapped around by the top guys of Boston(X2), Tampa, and NYR. Carolina desperately needs that high end offensive talent to really take the next step.
