Thought after Larkin got 8.7 AAV that would be the benchmark... I don't watch a ton of the Canes but I know Aho is well regarded and with the cap going up probably a safe deal. But looking at this stats seems a tad rich.
Aho has hovered around PPG for the past few years and with the cap projected to go up significantly it’s not a bad contract if he keeps it up
People like to look at contracts purely as how much does he make vs how many points does he put up. I’m telling you right now there’s not a Canes fan who would tell you this isn’t a fair contract. For being the on the ice/off the ice leader he is, the way he sets the standards for the team culture, being a responsible 200 ft player, I could go on forever about Aho’s intangibles.
