Great player but this is a whopper of a contract

    Two things:

#1 on Murray saying no to Buffalo and then going to the Leafs: HAHAHAHAHA YESSSSSSS

#2: on the Sabres being linked to no one except their own players I am choosing to believe that it's not no one wanting to play for them and instead it is that the organization mantra is now:

"Real G's move in silence like lasagna"

I'll be bummed if Palat leaves but also so happy for him if he gets a big money contract because he totally deserves it.

    Too lazy embed tweet

    Murray (25% retained), a 3rd and a 7th for future considerations.

Sens were ready to trade out of the top 10 a few days ago and we get a 3rd and a 7th. What a pant-shitting travesty.

Don’t know what the Leafs are thinking with this one, but Dorion is having a hell of an offseason

Got to be honest I’m not really understanding why Pittsburgh is going to just let Malkin walk. All of their success essentially hinges on him, Crosby and LeTang

Might as well have just given Jack 5 if we were gonna take Murray at 4.7.

I already can't wait for this season to be over.

Back to our old ways of acquiring injury prone stars about five years too late. The Dolan way.

I would choose Letang over him too because you need at one at least one elite player in each position, but between Malkin, Rust and Rakell? The choice is obvious

To be fair I bet the Sabres would have been willing to eat the full Murray contract since they're trying to get to the cap floor as opposed to having the broke ass Sens hold 25%

They'll get a solid 3.5-4.5 seasons out of him on that deal

Flyers are buying out Lindblom (kind of a dick move in itself) which should give them enough room with the 10% summer overage to afford Gaudreau....

  23. Would rather have Klingberg but maybe these are backup options

It amazing how some of the dudes who get traded for way more than they’re worth are bargain dudes who signed late but everyone knew they were solid players, so many dumb teams
