  4. I literally have the numbers pulled up when I'm saying these things.

Per attempt, including rushing - Lamar averaged a turnover ever 26 plays. AR every 28.

    AR - 27.5
    Fields in a full season - 25.4

AR has the highest percentage of deep attempts in the 1st round, 2nd highest YPA, 2nd lowest turnovers, and by far the lowest amount of turnover worthy plays.

His line was not better than Alabama's. or Ohio State's. Torrence is excellent but the unit as a whole is not and it showed every time they played remotely good competition with the exception of maybe FSU.

Every team in question here ran more than they threw, two of those teams had better lines. Also, those same two teams played in more games and Stroud played all of his games in full. AR played was pulled very early in a FCS match-up too.

Yes, he was a vastly inferior rusher in college. Fewer yards, fewer touchdowns, less efficient, less skilled at playing through contact and juking out defenders.

Yes, which is why people have Levis above AR too. or Darnold above Lamar.

  5. I’m still mad at the packers for not trading him for that Wilson haul last off season

Just don’t be surprised if he’s taken 10th or later cause he is a project. We have this argument all the time and the real answer is usually in the middle of you and me - but so far I still feel like drafting a QB isn’t as simple as “find a beastly arm and legs with at least some semblance of knowledge of the position, put it on NFL coaches to do the rest.”

There are a couple cases where that massive glow up has happened (Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts) and a couple guys who were CLEARLY good enough at QB to be NFL starters right away despite that narrative (Lamar, Kyler Murray). But there are also a decent amount of Fields and Mariotas with a high enough floor to start - but who I wasn’t wrong about, and they still needed to develop a whole new tier of passing progression knowledge to their repertoire.

  12. Trey Lance was a far bigger project and taken third. Teams will bet on huge upside if it's a high enough ceiling. Rooting for AR to go to Carolina with that insanely good staff they have. I think he goes top five. Carolina at 3, Indy at 4 (worst case scenario), or Seattle at 5.

Cool for Atlanta. Baltimore will probably stay a good team but I just don’t like them making this move. Oh well.

  14. It's not tampering if it's allowed by the team, no?

its not tampering unless the Bucks are doing it oh wait wrong thread

  16. I guess not, is that what happened? lol

  17. I don't think there's been confirmed contact between Atlanta and Lamar yet. Just Atlanta and Baltimore.

If anything maybe Lamar was always destined to bury Vick’s tarnished legacy and create a better one.

(A football player being antivax because of poor education in parts of this country, while it is a serious thing and endangers the community around them with health related misinformation, is more forgivable for me than the dogfighting shit)

anything that gets the NFL / ATL fans to talk less about Michael Vick, and more about Lamar Jackson, is good with me. Break all of Vick’s team records. Actually take the Falcons to a Bowl.

“Scout’s take on how Jackson would elevate ATL’s offense”

Scout: “Yeah, it’s rather simple actually. You see, Lamar Jackson > Desmond Ridder”

Also I haven’t gotten around to saying this:

hell yeah Jags have Calvin Ridley woooo

he deserved his suspension, NFL had to make an example out of anyone who might so much as HINT that teams are in on betting. it does illustrate a double standard - but the issue is not “don’t punish betting” the issue is the opposite - give abusers much stricter punishments even than that.

but as long as he doesn’t do any dumb shit like that again, I’m excited that my team found a way to have a coin-flip chance that their WR1 need is already resolved.
