I will accept him going to the Lions and winning a superbowl in an easier conference with a team that badly deserves it

    Lets Go. Prestigious

Kyle Crabbs runs the LockedOn Dolphins podcast (and also from TDN), and this is his mock offseason...and I would be down for everything...EXCEPT I do not want to go into the season with Mostert and McKinnon as the top two RBs. They are both gonna be 31 and thats really dangerous. I also would prefer Dalton to Heinecke.

Would absolutely love Moreau and Tranquill though

Amazing that Daniel Jones has the Giants by their balls. Imagine saying that a year or two ago.

His mom is cool, but that guy is one of the biggest goofballs in Philly sports journalism

  16. They aren't and where they went is irrelevant.

Allowed the fewest sacks out of any of the top guys, half of what Levis and Young allowed. Lowest in allowed pressures, Levis more, Stroud slightly more, Bryce laps him

He allowed the fewest sacks out of any of the top guys, including half of what Levis and Young allowed. He also created the least amount of pressures, Stroud had slightly more, Levis had a lot more, and Bryce - the favorite to go 1st overall - laps the field. Fields was also worse at this. Lamar was worse when it came to needless sacks but better as far as pressure goes.

He threw more often than Fields and much more often than Josh Allen.

Base completion percentage is almost entirely meaningless. Adjusted completion% more accurately tells the story. 64.1% isn't great but it's by no means bad. He also was not as sloppy as Allen. Allen was more prone to turnovers while also being a vastly inferior rusher with worse pocket presence. Lamar was also more turnover prone than AR.

AR's ceiling is the highest in this class. His floor is significantly lower than Bryce and Stroud, which is why you take those two ahead of him. But after them he is absolutely the kind of prospect, like Josh Allen, that you take the risk on. Surround him with a good staff, let him sit a year, he can learn.

Yes, and he should have. There was no justification for Zach and Lance going above Fields.

I need the Jags to step up their contract negotiations with Jawaan Taylor please and thank you

He had one of the 3 lowest pressure rates in the league this year. And most teams didn’t succeed at stopping Etienne stretch / off tackle runs from breaking big gains either. Teams know where Etienne is best but so far they haven’t forced us to change that being our bread and butter running play - that speaks volumes about the run blocking.

The Jags have not had a tackle allow less than 25 pressures in a full season since at least Eugene Monroe in 2011. this is a no brainer to me. Having good tackles is the best way to ensure our offense remains good no matter who rotates in and out at skill positions.

And more importantly, Trevor being healthy and not missing any time. It is possible to avoid QB injuries but it means we gotta do things like have 3 good tackles on the roster

ESP is also the same guy who once tweeted that he could "luck into a home run" in an MLB game

  20. that's hysterical.

i'm not even confident i could luck into a walk due to being hit

A lot of that just isn’t true.

Lamar was not more turnover prone per dropback.

AR did not throw more per game than Fields.

Base completion percentage is not almost completely meaningless lol. It just doesn’t mean what people think it means. It doesn’t really measure “accuracy” it measures how often you’re making high percentage decisions. A good deep passer can get away with a lower percentage if he has a high Y/A, because that still creates efficiency in other ways, but 1) AR doesn’t have that either 2) even if he did 53% is still REALLY low and not a number you can just salvage

Sacks allowed is not the best argument against AR’s pocket presence issues because it ignores the fact Florida’s offense threw the ball less and ran more and also ignores that maybe UF had a good line. I saw too many times where the blocking was good but AR created pressure on his own is what I’m saying. Sometimes he threw out of it but a lot of those were harder than they needed to be because of poor fundamentals. I also think he gets away with poorly thought out stuff in the pocket that just isn’t going to happen nearly as easily at the next level.

Is Josh Allen a *vastly* inferior rusher or was that part of his skillset not used nearly as well by Wyoming as it is by Buffalo? Two 760+ yard seasons in a row and 38 career rushing touchdowns is pretty damn good, he literally has better rushing numbers than Cam Newton did at this point of his career

we know that Fields was a better prospect than Wilson and Lance but it doesn’t change the message it illustrated about how teams view & value QB prospects.

Im just saying that hes not as good of a prospect as he’s hyped up to be. Yes he’s an athletic beast and taking a chance on that upside is exciting if you don’t have a better option or aren’t desperate.

Definitely a first rounder, probably top half because at LATEST a team like NYJ or NOLA or LAR isn’t gonna pass that up, not arguing that. But I think mock drafters trading into the top 5 for him in mocks / people acting like a prospect like AR has never been seen before are overdoing it. He’s a Combine champion but from the QB perspective he’s more of a long-term project than other guys who had the same narrative, and most early picking teams don’t have the stability for a long term project. The only reason I believe the Colts might take him that early is because Irsay has been on a wildly impulsive streak, but if he likes/gets another QB I think AR is gonna go a lil later
