Also, trading your 26yr old franchise face RB only to then trade for a much more banged up 29yr old RB seems...not smart? Especially if it means handing him a new contract at 29yrs old.

And maybe its just fantasy brain, but, I feel like Foreman/Hubbard is a decent combo considering how bad that offense was last year.

 

Funny enough, the Carr contract and a Derek Henry trade both seem foolish to me for the same reason. I'd rather take a risk that a rookie QB can match Carr's production for 1/20th the price...or in Henry's case, that 2-3 players can make up his production at the price the Panthers are paying for their guys (like $2-3mil this year).

In a way, the Ravens approach with Lamar, if they trade him, might end up kinda smart. Take a crack at finding a new QB, get a bunch of picks to use to throw those darts at the board, and dont have 4-5 seasons where 20% of your cap goes to one guy

Henry doesn't fit the Bills at all. They like small backs who can't handle contact
