1) still too early to say any of those RBs are Hall of Fame bound. Henry is the closest but he probably needs another 3-4 years of longevity without much decline to be considered. In the grand scheme of RBs 8,000 career yards still isn’t THAT much. He’s still at two good seasons away from the top 25 - but it’s a fools errand to ASSUME he’ll keep up this level of production and not decline. I mean he definitely COULD but there are also a lot of backs who started out very strong and then ran out of steam. He could still be either. Because RBs used to get a lot more touches and offensive focus than they do now… I feel like it takes till about age 30 to know if a guy is gonna be a HOF RB or not

2) what is even the argument for Pollard being several spots higher than I have him? He’s very good but if he was ELITE Elliott wouldn’t still be there. I also feel weird about putting Jacobs at #4 in the league, even though he did just have an elite SEASON he feels more like an 8-12 range back but who is getting an old school football-amount of opportunities.

3) I disagree with Mixon being “fringe elite” and also disagree Kenneth Walker’s there YET, though he probably will be. He’s more boom or bust than ETN - I love his big play ability but he also has long stretches where he can’t do shit.

4) hot take, Breece Hall is a lot better than Javonte Williams, not just marginally. I liked Javonte just as much as a PROSPECT but in the NFL so far Breece immediately looked like a strong RB1, not to mention it was behind a pretty bad line. As much as I really don’t want to admit it, Hall might end up being even better than Etienne if they can both stay healthy… dude had 5.8 yards per carry this year and was even more of a receiving weapon too

5) we gon’ have to give more credit to Dameon Pierce soon. He is way too good at breaking tackles to be seen as another dime a dozen power back, that dudes power and understanding of leverage is legit kinda hard to find. Teams did not fear Davis Mills at all, did not play the pass very heavily and still could not stop Pierce in short yardage

6) Herbert > Montgomery but I understand if I don’t have a strong argument until the Bears act like it

7) while we probably agree that the Eagles offensive line elevated the shit out of Miles Sanders, I still think he should be at the top of that tier. He doesn’t have as much “create what’s not there” ability as better backs, but within his tier he showed he is really damn good at reading the blocks and angles that ARE there and that requires skill too.
