Also @CarpetElf im FINE with the Anton Harrison pick I GUESS. Lol.

I saw a stat that made me change my mind - the Jags OTs were actually ranked very low in pass block win rate, which illustrates my initial hunch that Trevor’s pocket presence is his best trait, and he’s actually making our line look good cause of how quickly he can shift his feet, sense pressure behind him, and make decisions.

I’m just scared of starting over at T because I’ve seen it go horribly (remember Luke Joeckel and Jermey Parnell?) but if Cam and Jawaan were really not allowing Trevor to reach his full potential because of subpar blocking, I ain’t mad we’re saving $42-$45M per year there for a bit. Shit, that’s a lot of Trevor money. I just really hope Anton Harrison is good and not just okay.

    The rivalry is back on

Late but here’s an early 53 for IND

QB (3): Anthony Richardson, Gardiner Minshew, Sam Ehlinger

Pretty straightforward. This team goes as far as Richardson takes them. Keeping Ehlinger because he’s probably one of the 53 best players on the roster, but he also deserves a fresh start so I kinda hope they can find a taker for a 6 or something.

RB (4): Jonathan Taylor, Zack Moss, Evan Hull, Deon Jackson

The Colts have 2 good position groups on their entire roster and this is one of them.

WR (5): Michael Pittman Jr, Alec Pierce, Josh Downs, Isaiah McKenzie, Ashton Dulin

They very badly need to get to a point where they’re 4 or 5 deep at WR, but they keep swapping parts (this year it’s Downs for Campbell) instead of actually building.

TE (4): Jelani Woods, Mo Alie-Cox, Kylen Granson, Will Mallory

No one is “good” in this group, but they have like 6 solid maybes on the roster right now.

OL (8): Bernhard Raimann, Quentin Nelson, Ryan Kelly, Will Fries, Braden Smith, Blake Freeland, Danny Pinter, Emil Ekiyor Jr

I think the sacks, etc, last year were more a fault of the quarterbacks and coaches than of the line, but with that said, it’s also kinda wild that they have 0 new projected starters after last year’s debacle

DL (10): Samson Ebukam, DeForest Buckner, Grover Stewart, Kwity Paye, Dayo Odeyingbo, Taven Bryan, Tyquan Lewis, Adetomiwa Adebawore, Eric Johnson, Titus Leo

The other good position group on this roster. Probably could keep 11 or 12 here if that made any positional sense to do so.

LB (5): Zaire Franklin, EJ Speed, JoJo Domann, Grant Stuard, Cam McGrone (Darius Leonard to PUP)

Yikes. The Colts’ schemes for about as long as I’ve followed them always seem to tease production out of less heralded names (see: Franklin last year), but even with that in mind, this is real thin.

CB (6): Isaiah Rodgers Sr, Kenny Moore II, JuJu Brents, Darius Rush, Dallis Flowers, Jaylon Jones

I really like this room in 3 years. We’ll see how it plays out this year with so many young players seeing the field.

S (5): Julian Blackmon, Rodney Thomas II, Nick Cross, Daniel Scott, Trevor Denbow

I really hope Nick Cross shows out this year, because this will be a sneaky good grouping if he does

ST (3): Matt Gay, Rigoberto Sanchez, Luke Rhodes

The most tangible improvement year over year is at kicker. Which on the one hand, yay, but on the other hand, that’s not great for the state of the roster.

Overall: I can squint and see the foundation of a good team in 2024 or 2025, especially if we get solid progression from AR this season. Unfortunately, that squinting involves being very bad this year and having another huge draft haul while also having minimal attrition or regression.

  12. As someone who lives in suburbia I find it weird I'm the only person ever sitting on the front porch. I never see my neighbors on theirs.

As someone who posts on chorus dot fm, I’m surprised you’d pick front porch over back deck/patio and risk having small talk with neighbors who pass your house

Me but with Baltimore’s rooftop decks

Like 42% of the row homes in central Baltimore (and like 70% of them in the nice parts of town) have decks at the top but i have seen individual neighbors on theirs a grand total of like 5-6 times

And actually the real benefit of shedding Jawaan this year and Cam next year is to front load Josh Allen’s contract so actually I love it lol. Letting Jawaan go pays for his fifth year option, cutting Cam gives us his inflated first year signing bonus to make his contract more attractive but fit in our budget later when Trevor is getting his. Boom.

    Nope. Supporter

We thought having a nice front porch would be cool to hang out on, but then we realized we hate people. A nice back patio is farrrrrrrr more essential

  23. Yeah Cam and Jawaan aren't worth it for where we're at. Lawrence is great but he's not Patrick Mahomes. Jawaan was overpaid and sucks at run blocking but when you don't run the ball and only have to worry about giving Mahomes 3 seconds then who tf cares. Anton I will say is coming into the league younger and a better pass protector than Jawaan was on top of having a FAR better OL coach.
