personally i dont like the move for my own selfish fantasy reasons. BUT it makes sense on the panthers part unloading on rb. now that sam darnolds on the mend theyre gonna go back to being a passing juggernaut soon anyway

 

I'm not looking forward to the Bryce v CJ debates from our fans but mainly because right now I'm not really that big on either lol I think Bryce is the better player but he is tiny and it scares the shit out of me.

I really like the fit for SF and if (the big if) CMC stays healthy their offense is going to be really fun.

But....when putting it all together they're really bad at asset management. They traded an enormous amount to move up for Lance....a guy I liked coming out of school but also a guy who played one year of FCS football, then had an entire year off due to COVID, and then entered the draft.....and then sat a year for development. 2 years without playing in games and they expect him to make the leap from FCS to NFL? Sheesh.

And now they basically traded the rest of their draft this year for a RB who has barely played the last 2 years.

Two extremely risky buys, one that has already been a disaster, the other TBD.
