The 49ers will have spent a 2021 3rd, 2021 6th, 2022 3rd, 2023 2nd, 2023 3rd, 2023 4th, and 2024 5th rounder...and the guy who's gonna have the most carries for the team this 8-9 team this year is the undrafted guy they've had since 2018.

He’s more valuable than just a RB. He brings more than just a RB. He’s going to absolutely ball in SF and it’s going to suck.

 

You're gonna walk into the 2023 draft with the #1 overall pick, 2 2nds, a 3rd (which covers for the one you used on Matt Corral), and 2 4ths. And absolutely best case scenario, if you hire the perfect coach and your GM is amazing, you are 2-3 years from relevancy. Meaning by the time you got good, CMC was gone anyways. Also, dude is coming off 2 straight injury-plagued seasons and is now a 49er, his ACL is as good as done.

 

I don’t trust our GM to do shit. And he’s probably keeping his job.

 

I 1000% agree, as I argued vehemently that he was the only RB I had ever seen who was worth the top end RB salary. And then he played 10 games in 2 years because he was run into the ground...and even if he returned to the 1000yd rusher/100 rec player that he was, he'd move you from 3-14 to 5-12 this season. And from 4-13 to 6-11 next season

 

I hope Miami strongly considers trading that SF pick tbh
