He's a classic example of someone whose value gets inflated because the thing he's done well is score, and teams keep convincing themselves he can produce more with more minutes and paying him accordingly. Like you said he's really a high-level role player, and as long as his next contract aligns with that reality, he's not a bad proposition.

If we are able to hang on to Jovic or Jacquez, I don’t think trading Martin should be out of the question. But ultimately I’d prefer to keep to Martin if we can.

He’s under contract till 2025 right? Why would a team care if he’s unhappy? He doesn’t seem like the type of player to cause drama or take the unprofessional approach. I can’t see him wasting the last years of his prime just bc he didn’t get his way.
