Why is Keegan Murray still playing in the 4th quarter of this summer league game?

 

Why is he playing at all?

 

Dude just took two decently hard fouls on drives in back-to-back possessions. Seems like they’re asking for him to get hurt lol

 

He’s working on things to help improve his game (being the number 1 options, running the point periodically) and he’s putting on a show for the fans.

he won’t play in Vegas.

 

He’s definitely too good to be in summer league but he’s still only going into his second year so it’s at least expected for him to play at least a game or two here.

More time for him to have a chance to learn how to create his own shot + be a primary ball handler when Fox isn’t on the court and Davion has played his 10 minute quota

 

That’s definitely all fair and understandable. Just don’t really think he needs to be in the game in that situation when he already has almost 40 points and has clearly done what he was out there to accomplish

 

Keeg's a killer and wanted his 40, not like this is more intense than the pickup games every NBA player plays in all summer. Big year 2 incoming

Wood to a contender for super cheap is gonna happen

Wood would be a very solid player if he was just used as a role player/rotation piece and paid like one of those guys. And I think he's kinda been trending that direction. But for awhile teams were giving him too many minutes and his flaws were exploited.
