The best scenario for Portland is to take what’s left out of Scoot/Miller. Make Dame force a trade. Gather every first round pick Miami has to offer including swaps + Herro + scraps

route Herro elsewhere and start a rebuild

 

I’d love watching Simons/Sharpe and either Scoot/Miller play together tbh

The team's ownership situation is an absolute disaster right now. A "rebuild" would just mean more chaos. I'd much rather be a middling team with breakout games from Dame every once in a while than some team with a players no one in the city connects with and owners that don't know if they're going to sell or stay or give Phil Knight what he wants.

Yeah, I really hope they're not hellbent on not trading him if they have a shot at Dame or whoever. But obviously he's not going to outright say they're looking to get rid of him.

 

Are people so hard on Herro because he plays for the Heat and the Heat are annoying to anyone who isn't a Heat fan?

Because he's only 23 years old, has played a huge role on two Eastern Conference champion teams, and is coming off back to back 20/5/5 seasons. He's like 3 years from his peak and is already a great player with tons of playoff experience.
