If Jaylen truly wants out, I can see the Celtics working a sign and trade that involves bringing Tatum's best friend to Boston

I feel like that’s reminiscent of the harden trade, except Beale is not a better player than harden was at the time imo

Do they even get a first? If the market for him is as bad as Windy was saying

But yeah I was looking at the rosters and thought Herro/Robinson would be likely. I’ve also thought they may want to move off of Lowry’s last year but maybe they’ll just eat it since he’s willing to stay on as a second unit guy. He definitely was giving them a good lift off the bench. Or maybe they’ll extend him and spread out some of the money he’s supposed to make this year.

  7. Idk what his name is but one of the Pels beat guys said they’re “hellbent” on drafting Scoot. There’s quite a few people that think Miller might still go #2 but you’d have to trade with Charlotte to guarantee getting Scoot.

also Portland might not give a shit about Zion.

  8. I'd trade Jrue Holiday and some spare parts for Bradley Beal I think

I think the Pelicans are dying to get out of Zion

I’m not expecting much out of the third pick but hopefully it’s not dogshit

Sounds like someone who knows they won’t be around next season. Strus has been great but I definitely think they’ll be outpriced by the market if they’re trying to bring in someone like Beal/Dame/etc.

  14. I could see Boston having a completely different roster next season

Idk, I think they're gonna do the thing where they say "eh, if we had better coaching we woulda won. Run it back and add the assistants and we're Gucci" which I disagree with but if Brown is willing to sign I'd bet on it.

  16. I don’t think Brown wants to sign in Boston

I don't either. They just need to answer that first before knowing really anything.

Correct. He also needs to stay with Charlotte to qualify for the designated player max in the future, should he meet the other criteria.

It's pretty risky for guys like Porzingis to opt in this year. I could see (some) teams getting a lot stingier starting next summer once the entirety of the new CBA is in effect, especially since it's also going to be trickier to unload players.

  19. Apparently Stein has already said the Hornets wouldn’t accept a deal involving Zion for the #2 pick.

I mean, yeah. He's the very definition of a damaged asset

All this chatter is fun but 95% of trades talked about now won’t amount to anything

this is from steins sub stack. didn’t mention anything else I don’t believe. he’s notoriously pretty good with Pelicans news. so it’s pretty safe to say Zion is likely
on a different team by the start of the year but maybe not Charlotte.

I don’t think anyone knows what Portland is doing lmao

Dame / Zion would be really fun for a couple weeks of the year.

oh for sure, nobody is buying Zion high. if theyre desperate theyre gonna have to sell him low.
