He did! Him, Jokic, and Giannis all had incredible seasons and all 3 of them deserved it. I just think "the narrative" of why Jokic didn't deserve it (from the media) is fucking dumb lol

 

They’ll do an actual photoshoot that will have some good options but that’s definitely the best one from the actual night

Totally agreed. They all had great seasons and the margin between the three was small enough that they were all good choices. Jokic is the best player in the league though

Meh Bam had an incredible series. One of the few Heat players who showed up each game. Wouldn't have even been that close if it weren't for him

 

it seems like the rumor is gonna be less games for Ja then you'd imagine. like 17, so he misses out on all-nba stuff, is the number i've seen most.

i don’t personally agree with the argument but the most frequent one i’ve heard is “what law is he actually breaking / if he had pictures taken at a gun range immediately after, would anyone care about this?” which seems to miss that this is more of a mental health issue than anything else but i also kinda agree a huge punishment for someone in the middle of something bigger than basketball probably isn’t the best look either. idk. weird situation

Yeah none of his know what’s best for Ja. Even just setting aside the fact that none of us know what it’s like to be young, Black, and famous (and neither do the people who run the league really) it’s tough to have an educated opinion without knowing more about the underlying issues—which we have no right to information about obviously.

The flashing guns on socials is dumb dumb dumb but what really chills me is the Pacers incident and the incidents involving physical altercations with his crew. Hard to sift through that and know exactly what Ja’s role is but it’s really troubling.

As someone who was a Grizzlies fan long before Ja and will be a Grizzlies fan until the league moves us to Vegas lol, I selfishly wanted the punishment to be fairly severe, get it over with, hope he learns his lesson this time, and let me feel good about supporting him and wearing his jersey again. That’s just being honest. I’m afraid a shorter suspension could mean more stuff down the road. But literally no one knows that’s just speculation.
