I have no clue what Zion's trade value is or what his feelings are toward New Orleans. But if a deal around the #2 pick and Zion is a possibility I think I'd do it. I just have concerns with our two options in the draft.

Scoot is great and fun and all that. But he's undersized and (as of now) can't shoot.

Miller is my preferred choice of the two prospects because he's 6'9" and is a knockdown shooter mid-range and from deep. Buuuuuuut he also brought a gun to his friend who then used it to murder someone. So. Pass.

 

Zion feels like the biggest wildcard in the league. He could get it together and have a hall of fame level career, he could never play more than ten games a season too. Neither would surprise me.

 

yeah i dont think at the moment that Zion will have a flopped career due to injury, but i do think that he and the Pelicans need a break up sooner rather than later. Prime 'change of scenery' candidate.

 

Hornets fandom is also a miserable existence. Bringing basically a hometown star into the team would be a huge morale boost for everyone. It'd also make Melo happy and less likely to leave.
