Oh wow, guess bill threatened him and he deleted it. It was someone who used to work at the ringer that posted some details of his contract and how he wasn’t allowed to say anything bad about him ever, basically.

 

honestly that read like very standard employment contract stuff so he might have deleted it bc it was embarrassing to post in the first place lol

 

Is it standard to single out one specific high-ranking employee along with the company as a whole? Not trying to be snarky, legit asking

 

I think probably with something like that where it was privately held before they sold to Spotify and the founder/ceo is also a public facing content person

Random question/conversation in the lull of the Finals starting:

Seems like a lot of folks in the media or whatnot think that Atlanta making the ECF two years ago actually ended up hurting them because they thought they were better than they were / farther along faster than they thought they would be with building a team around Young so they made moves thinking they were only a few pieces away when really making the ECF was (so far it seems) an odd anomaly.

I was talking with a coworker today who is a big Knicks fan and he commented that he was kind of glad the Knicks lost to the Heat because if they won that series they’d be in the ECF and ownership/management might have made abrupt, bad moves thinking they were farther along in getting a great team and would potentially make bad trades, while losing in the second round is less likely to have the team try and make a splash to get over the hump.

Thought that was an interesting take. Didn’t have a comment as I don’t know how comparable those two rosters are (Knicks now vs Hawks two years ago).
