3 runners just broke the 400m hurdle world record, with the Norwegian winner doing 45.94 - insane. That’s faster than many of the runners do in the non-hurdle 400m race
'Best race in Olympic history:' Inside the record-breaking duel between Rai Benjamin and Karsten Warholm Absolutely insane
Do you know why Cockerel got DQ?? I wish they'd explain why. That race was awesome! Edit:. Looks like the DQ was a lane infraction
Yeah I watched the men’s qualification round; started off with the speed climbing, where the specialists really shined, and then went to the bouldering wall. There were four problems, or routes, of increasing difficulty, and each climber got 5 minutes on each problem to solve it/climb it. Climbers climbed in rotations, so got some rest time before attempting the next problem/route. After this they did lead climbing, and not one of the climbers got all the way to the top/touched the finishing pad/thing. I DL’d the finals, so I’ll be watching that tonight. A couple of the big wall and bouldering specialists, like Adam Ondra and Alex Megos, complained about how combined the disciplines into one event was really dumb, which I agree with. Like asking a runner they have to compete in the 100m, 400m hurdles, and 1500
I'm not familiar with climbing at all but like ANW and alot of them are/were climbers. I know Meagan Martin is supposed to be a commentator for the Olympic climbing event and that's about all I know. I did recognize Sean McColl's name though
The US women’s 4x400m relay team is LOADED. I hope they medal so that Allyson can be the most decorated track and field athlete ever individually (sorry Carl Lewis).
