I hope Simone Biles recovers, whether it's physical or mental. Still great that the team pulled off a silver.
Doesn't really feel like a ban. Although I do think that it would be unfair if the athletes that aren't doping didn't get a chance to compete.
Not at all... Russian athletes are still competing as a group, they just don't get to wave their flag or sing their anthem. It's absurd and hardly a punishment at all.
I agree. But should the other athletes who aren't cheating be punished? It's hard to say because if the punishment isn't big enough what's going to stop them from cheating in the future?
I'm on the fence. If athletes weren't doping, I get it, but it just feels like a slap on the wrist. It would not surprise me at all if Russia or another country got caught for something like this again.
Watching the Street Finals for Skateboarding makes me want to fire up Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 all over again. So awesome that this is in the Olympics.
My two favorite streaming sites are the below; you'll have to dodge some ads, but the reliability of the streams is worth it. Use ESPN or Google to figure out the time of the event you want to watch and then use one of these sites freestreams-live1.com viprow.me
Japan wins softball gold. Shame the stadium wasn’t packed with Japanese fans. Would have been awesome.
I feel like I was tricked into think all this was going to be on Peacock so I bought that for a month. Definitely going to unsubscribe because it’s been very limited.
this is excellent. thanks everyone, now just need to find a better schedule! my friend Sam Mattis competes in the discus for the US on Thursday.
In terms of finding event schedules, I actually found by just googling "Tokyo Olympics *event name* schedule", Google displays very simply/logically the schedule for that particular event and the time it's happening live
My stance on 3x3 basketball has slowly shifted from "this is way to fast, what is happening" to "okay this is pretty fun". The women's USA team is great.
