Watson + CMC is a match made in Madden. It must come to be.

 

Let me put it this way. I have yet to be convinced my RB take is wrong. If I had to bet money on a player in the league to be the case, it's CMC. So, we'll see. But so far, I hold the line.

Edit: I also would prefer not to trade CMC for Watson if I'm the panthers. I'd do 3 firsts over 2 firsts and CMC if i have both options. But if the only way they move Watson is for CMC, giddy up.

 

@CarpetElf You definitely like Fields more than I do then. I agree that SBTF is a bad bit and he’s a first round quarterback but I’m not that bullish on him developing

I acknowledged that he has much higher potential but I also think, much higher bust risk

imo it’s typical for the 3rd best QB in the draft to be no better than a Jones or a Minshew

 

We always be hyping up 4-5 quarterbacks and then 2-3 of them are good

Panthers should trade CMC if it brings them Watson yeah idc if its two firsts, CMC and two seconds.

Yeah the Bucs were set up really well, it's why I was confused about the talk of them being in a bad cap space.

The cap is real, and you can kick the can down the road pretty far, but eventually (Saints) it all comes to a crashing halt and gets very ugly.

 

You disagree that Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson are franchise QBs while Josh Rosen and Sam Darnold were kicked to the curb? Or that Mahomes and Watson are better than Trubs? Or that Murray is better than DJ?? That Herbert came out stronger than Tua?

Hot take: Gardner Minshew would be a HUGE improvement over Cam Newton last year and is better than anyone that will fall in New England’s range of picks in the draft also

Tbh, Kyle Pitts going 5th is not nearly as bad as the Dolphins taking Waddle over Devonta.

I'm getting real close to adding Zeke Elliott to the list.

In his age 25 seasons, 5th year, ready to start the second contract he hit career lows in Rush attempts (minus his injured year) Yards, TDS, Y/A, Y/G, Attempts Per Game and all his receiving stats were plateauing from last year. Also, Todd Gurley is somehow only 26 and not 85.

 

Love Kyle Pitts, but I don't think there's really a perfect fit for him outside of someone trading up to get him.

Jags / Jets are out, if Sewell, Chase, Smith are all better fits for Miami, Matt Ryan loves Hurst, and if Cinci takes Pitts over one of the guys Miami passed on, that's fucking bonkers.

 

you’re making so many false dichotomies here.

1) Murray has always been better than DJ, when has that ever been disputed. He’s a super mobile guy that can also read defenses. Came from the same offense as Baker Mayfield. Clearly that criticism of Oklahoma was incorrect if their system helped produce TWO first overall pick level QB prospects in a row.

2) For every Lamar Jackson there’s a Marcus Mariota. You’re really skewing the argument to try to be right. The difference is we don’t talk about the unsuccessful ones nearly as much.

3) again, Mahomes / Watson vs Trubisky? Get out of here everyone hated that Bears move. You can’t just pick slow quarterbacks that DONT read defenses and act like that’s this argument

 

If it goes Lawrence/Sewell/Smith/Chase and trading down isn't an option, then yeah okay. Not thrilled from a value perspective but like, from a fan perspective it is an exciting prospect haha

 

You're the only person who still thinks Gardner Minshew is good, and that includes every single employee of the Jacksonville Jaguars haha. If you wanna compare that to me messing with Matt regarding a 7th round draft pick who never made it past the practice squad then go ahead haha

Lawrence / Sewell / Smith / Chase is a nightmare for Cinci yeah but even then Pitts isn't the best option. I'd rather still go OL.

I said he had a good rookie season and he did. That’s not the same thing as me saying he’s a top 15 quarterback

 

The ONLY way OL isn't my #1 choice is if Chase is available and Sewell isn't.
