The Office is actually smart in seasons 1-3. It’s only overrated because the following seasons stink and a ton of people still love them

 

agreeeeee.

 

Also Friends isn’t that bad. The feverish cult of personality around it sucks bad but the show is as good as any at maintaining consistent characterization throughout 10 seasons, and the cast is pretty talented. Wouldn’t put it with the best sitcoms ever but it has quality.

 

We're operating under the assumption that LOST is 1 and everything else comes after, correct?

 

The only comedies I watch with any consistency is Seinfeld Simpsons New Girl and Office

It was all pretty much the same for me.

 

Parks n Rec > the Office

 

David Schwimmer deserved better than Ross.

 

But an underrated animated comedy is Tuca and Bertie - very excited that adult swim revived it

 

Duh

and B99 too

 

Schmidt is one of the greatest written comedy characters.

 

May try and do that one with Ana next after Friday Night Lights.

 

I love B99 but too many cops

interested in seeing how this final season rectifies that

 

they’re equal for me. Parks has better writing but lower humor peaks. I really don’t like Aziz Ansari’s character / humor style either and it really annoys me when I’m trying to enjoy the rest of the bits haha

 

Parks is really good too even tho i don’t love the Biden worship and it has creeps and weirdos like Andy Pratt and Aziz Ansari

 

Like, Aziz Ansari’s character is every bit as cringe / annoying as Michael Scott

 

Friends' big problem is that they had to make Ross/Rachel a thing, and honestly, the worst story lines revolve around it. The Break, The Emily marriage, and then the finale forcing everything around that.

 

But parks has Jean Ralphio and he’s one of the best side characters of all time

 

Not even close.

 

But without the heart

 

Should've been Joey/Rachel in the end. the writers were COWARDS.

 

Eh. The whole point of Michael Scott is - the most unprofessional dude in the office is the one in charge. It’s fine not to like the bit. I like the bit.

Aziz’s bit is literally just “I’m really fucking annoying”. He’d make a great Spongebob though....

 

Definitely a testament to the shows quality for me is how it's still so good despite this

 

My wife has never watched the simpsons so it’s been just wonderful these past few months showing her the golden age of television

 

Well season 1 and 2 Michael for sure

he’s still inappropriate but his gradual face turn is a very compelling story
