I don't know if they're the best, but I feel kind of spoiled with the Steelers WR unit. Like, James Washington is really good and he's 4th on the depth chart. They almost certainly don't have a top-10 guy right now, but the top 4 are all solid, with a good mix of skill sets. Hoping Matt Canada can get a little more out of them this year.

Just need the DBs start letting the WRs practice with the jugs machine again to fix the drops, and then we'll be cooking.

Logging completely off Facebook for the next few days. I’m finally starting to get sick of social media like most people my age.

Seeing like 18 different articles on my feed all about Tebow, just because the algorithm knows I’m a Jaguars fan, is just crossing the line man. I never asked to see that, fuck Tebow, would love it if he gets cut before the final 53 tbh

so my wife's best friend's sister passed away unexpectedly last week....the services were today. She was a huge fan of Valencia and became friendly with Shane the singer

Anyway, he showed up today and played a few songs in her memory which I thought was really cool

Falcons or Bucs are #1, the other is #2, and the gulf between them and the #3 team is VAST. They're each at least 4 receiving options deep for "could go for 1000yds or 10+ TDs" in a season.

Even a team like the Steelers that has very good WRs doesnt have anywhere near the elite talent

Pittsburgh receiving corps is better than the sum of its parts.

Unless I'm forgetting players, the Falcons have Julio and Ridley and the Bucs have Evans, Godwin, and Brown. I wouldn't expect any other WRs on either team to put up 1000 yards or 10+ TDs (any would be really surprised if anyone did, absent an early season injury to one of those). WR depth beyond them on either team is not at that level.

I could see three WRs on the Cowboys (Cooper, Lamb, Gallup) and Steelers (JuJu, Johnson, Claypool), and two on the Vikings (Jefferson, Thielen), Seahawks (Metcalf, Lockett), Bills (Diggs, Beasley) and Rams (Cupp, Woods) reach 1000 yards. If the Broncos had a good QB, I could see a few of their WRs getting there as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see a fully healthy OBL and Landry reach one of those marks.

Just from last year's production (without a starting QB for 3/4 of the season), the Cowboys are probably the best unit. If I were just choosing from names and historical production (read: fantasy guys), I think I'd take the Bucs.

  12. DJ and Robby had 1000 each with Teddy last year lol

CMC is capable of doing it

    Marshall wouldn’t surprise me

    in Darnold we trust

If Carolina wins 10 I’d be surprised if it was because Darnold led them. I feel like they’re gonna ground and pound with CMC / Chuba and then take advantage of DJ Moore underneath a lot while throwing occasional play action deep balls to Robbie and Marshall.

that’s game manager material. If it goes to plan they won’t need Darnold to “lead” much haha. The more they ask Darnold to do, the more it all falls apart.

What I really want is the James Washington contract year explosion 1000+ yards blocking to get 4 Steelers over the top.

Gage went 70/800ish basically...easy to see him pushing 1000yds if Julio was hurt again. Hurst only had 6TDs, but not hard to imagine close to 10 if, again, Julio's not there in the RZ. Cant leave out Gronk on the Bucs who had 7TD even while being a decoy/blocker on a lot of plays.

Cowboys are also on this list with their top 3; that's a dominant enough grouping for sure. But almost no other team actually trots out 3WR you actually have to cover or they go 100+ on you like the Bucs/Cowboys/Falcons do.

The Falcons also have Kyle Pitts. Somebody is gonna take a step back because Pitts is gonna get several targets a game.

Yeah, its a solid collection of high end WR2's that, when you field 3 WR2's, is very hard to cover. Especially when they are fast and the ball is coming out in <2 seconds.

But they dont really have a single consistent guy who even is within 2 tiers of a Godwin or Julio

If you're going to count Gage, I don't know how you don't consider Johnson/Claypool/JuJu, who all topped that last year (Johnson and Claypool were both ahead of Godwin and Julio in yards last year, too). If the marker is production, any of those guys could reach the mark and no one would bat an eye. None of them is elite right now, but they're all very good and very productive.

(I was also specifically limiting to WRs, since that was the conversation starter)

If Diontae Johnson stayed healthy and dropped half as many balls, he'd pretty easily be in the top 10 in receiving yards.

Im saying Gage on Pittsburgh is those guys, quite possibly the #1 option...and he's the 3rd (now 4th) best option in ATL. He'd be the 3rd or 4th best option in TAM. He'd be the 4th best option in DAL.

Those teams are so far and away better than even a good WR team like the Steelers because they have singularly unstoppable dudes. And in fact, 2-3 of them.

Im also trying to imagine being as bad as the Falcons were last year with that talent. Imagine having 3WRS go 9rec/100+ yards in a game and barely be competitive

  25. It's hard to be a wr1 in Pittsburgh these days. The oline gives ben 2 seconds to throw so you can only throw a five yard crossing or out route. So you have to make yac and once the defense keys in you're done.
