I wish the Gesicki for Robinson rumors were more than just made up rumors lol

we’d have to give up a draft pick or two as well, no way Robinson’s value is equal to Gesicki’s. James is good but he’s still a RB

 

with Bobby McCain gone, the Dolphins longest tenured player is now Devante Parker who was drafted in 2015

So uh something really fucking random happened today lol

Our 2nd floor deck has a drainage system underneath that’s been leaking, the system is pretty old and so we found the paperwork to call the company who did it cause there’s a lifetime warranty on it so they’re coming to fix it tomorrow, long story short, the guy told me he pulled the file for our system and he’s like “oh yeah I remember your house, that’s DJ Williams old house” and it took me a minute to put it together, I said “…….the Broncos player?” And he said “yeah the Broncos player, super nice guy.”

I went back and did a double take at the paperwork for the deck and sure enough it’s filled out by DJ Williams lmao. Our house isn’t huge or anything, it’s in a random neighborhood I would never expect a multi millionaire to live in. What the fuck lol

 

Man if someone was like “here’s a multi million dollar contract” you’re damn right I would still live in a modest home for awhile at least.

Fuck sinking all that money into luxury, I got GOALS & I wanna be set up for life lol. That first few million now becomes a security net against anything bad that ever happens to my family, and then the next few million would be about giving back to the community and to charities, bringing up my peers and my personal interests (like opening a recording studio and letting my musician friends rent it, paying for a friend to go to grad school, etc.)

“Live in a mansion” is just really not a priority haha.

Nah, Horn was the best CB in this class. I’m not saying he’ll be perfect in the NFL right away, but as far as college prospects go it’s hard to find flaws in his game

A guy who has a solid chance of becoming a shut down corner should practically always go in the top 10 or top 15 at worst, unless they have character concerns. Every team wants a shut down corner and there’s rarely more than 15 of those in the entire NFL. Very in-demand.

I think pick 8 was the right value for him, given that Carolina’s strategy is to build a strong roster first and then draft a QB later if Darnold can’t win with that.

If they weren’t sold on Fields, then the only thing that might have been better is to trade down but we will never know if they got strong offers, it’s likely Chicago waited to trade up because they knew CAR / DEN / PHI weren’t taking a QB and they knew they could offer NYG less.

 

From what I’ve read Chicago did make an offer to Carolina but it wasn’t as strong as the one they made to NYG. Which sounds weird but the report I saw said they were getting desperate that no one was biting so they increased the offer.

 

it seems like the majority of places had the dude who went a pick later than Horn as the number one. and I personally prefer two other CBs over Horn, though admittedly they would have been reaches at 8.

Im not saying the pick had to be fields, or even an offensive player. i just think surtain, along with a few others, would have been better picks.

 

Horn and Surtain were pretty interchangeable as the top CB as we got closer to the draft. It’s even been reported that the Saints wanted to trade into the top 10 for Horn. So I don’t think we’ll know which guy is better until they play.
