Actually, amend my offer. 2021 3rd is set; 2022 pick goes away if he takes no starting snaps. 2022 2nd if he plays 75+% snaps. 2022 1st if he wins the Super Bowl.

He goes and Tannehill's you, at least you are kind of covered.

Although this really cracks me up, IND fans spamming votes for Tannehill and Tua and others to keep their 12-4 Carson Wentz out of the Pro Bowl to keep their 1st rounder.

Or PHI fans spamming votes to get Carson Wentz into the Pro Bowl off his Tebow-level season

    The rivalry is back on

I’m thinking of a 2021 1 as roughly double a 2021 2, using the Colts’ trade with the Redskins of their late 1 a couple years ago for a mid 2 and a future 2 as the basis of that. The Colts picking at 21 and the Bears at 20 would probably be worth slightly more than double.

It’s splitting hairs, but giving up the 1 means that you’re paying the high end regardless of performance, and the 2 + a conditional 4 means you pay roughly half as much if he stinks, which would be very appealing to me. And if he’s good, that’s great and I’d be more than happy to pay the 2 + next year’s 2 to make it out of QB purgatory

This is also where I'd love a GM to go full Madden and say "we'll trade you a 2nd, get Carson to push his roster bonus to June 2nd, and we execute the trade on June 1" so the Eagles get $15mil in extra cap space this year.

Alright I just heard the most insane stat and it involves Brock Osweiler (from Tiktok)

Osweiler played for three teams...Denver, Houston and Miami...all obviously AFC teams. In each of his first starts with those teams, he played (and beat) the Bears. The bears obviously play in the NFC and AFC teams play NFC teams once every 4 years.

The odds of him playing and beating the Bears in his first start with 3 different teams is 1 in 2.2 million........

Mitch Albom: Matthew Stafford 'gonna miss the hell out of' Detroit

    Really great interview with Stafford.

“I mean, this past year was bad,” he admits. “I had the partially torn UCL in my right thumb, I tore my UCL on my left elbow on the second to last play of the Houston game that nobody knew about, trying to stiff arm a guy. That's why I started wearing a sleeve on my left arm because I had all sorts of tape underneath it, just to hold it in place.

“I broke my cartilage on my eighth rib in Green Bay. I also tore something (in the back of) my left knee. And then I had a subtalar, right ankle sprain.”

    Good god

  11. I’m excited to see how some of these teams shed salary. It’s ugly for like 10 teams.

Random thought: all the potential bladder issues people will have when offices open back up and people (maybe) start going to a physical location again. Right now I can pretty much get up and pee whenever I want, but when you’re sitting in a physical location with a bunch of people in a meeting it seems uncouth to get up and leave even if only gone for a few moments so you gotta hold it. And god forbid, some companies monitor how often you’re away from your desk or how long your shit breaks are. Rough stuff.

another check mark in the “let’s keep working from home” category.

where can I sign for this?

Miami trades down from 3 to 8 with Carolina and still gets Devonta Smith
Miami trades down from 18 to 24 with Pittsburgh and still gets Zaven Collins

    Miami ends up with an extra 2021 3rd (CAR), 2021 3rd (PIT), 2021 5th (CAR), 2021 6th (PIT), and 2022 1st (CAR)

I do think that Devonta will still be available around 8 if the Dolphins trade down, and I definitely think one of Chase / Smith will be there.

Today's Mock is entitled "Save The Texans Before Easterby Actually Tries To "Save" Them"

For the purposes of this mock, please assume the Texans have traded Deshaun Watson for 3, 18, 35 and a future first and TUA. There were several other trades along the way but here's where I wound up.

    8. Jaylen Waddle
    18. Kwity Paye
    20. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
    36. Alex Leatherwood
    40. Javonte Williams
    52. Trevor Moehrig
    107. Hunter Long
    120. Ambry Thomas

I'll take that trade in any mock where I have the Texans. I wouldn't even ask for the future first or 35.

The Jets didn't give up much to move up for Mark Sanchez.

A swap of firsts, the 52nd overall pick, and three garbage players (DE Kenyon Coleman, S Abram Elam, and QB Brett Ratliff). Eric Mangini did Mike Tannenbaum a favor.

That's all it took to move from #17 all the way up to #5. It didn't work out in the end, but it didn't hurt the franchise much.

tbh the last bit of success the Jets had was with Mark Sanchez so that was probably a good trade for them.

    It's gonna be awesome.

I'm ready for all the surprise cuts and trades. The trade market will be absolutely wild this offseason with the lack of the NFL Combine. I expect several teams to move 2021 picks and players for future picks.

I’m asking this question in every job interview I get. If I have a choice I will NOT work for a company that does this. Dictator shit.

Yeah I wouldn't ask that question, that's suspicious.
