It’d be a terrible deal for SD and a coup for the Packers haha

 

Lol I don’t think it’s hating on Rodgers to say “a lot of QBs would really enjoy Adams or Jones or that offensive lineman who’s name I’m not gonna spell” and think the “they don’t give him weapons” is an overblown narrative.

 

I think that “they don’t give him weapons”might have been overblown early in his career but it’s not now when teams are literally mobilizing weapons like crazy.

That’s just becoming something that smart teams make sure to do so they don’t get left in the dust by teams with Patrick Mahomes / extremely fast dual threat QBs... can’t always play ball control against an offense that can beat you that many ways.

 

Meanwhile in Los Angeles...Stafford ONLY has weapons.

My HC just sent us a text saying we have a 6'5, 300 pound Sophomore coming in and he wants him to play RB.

Torn between wanting to actually help develop this kid and winning games with a battle tank RB. Apparently he's VERY out of shape and there's currently debate as to whether he would even be able to physically play on both sides.

What weapons should Gute have acquired? Justin Jefferson maybe but Vikings had more to trade since they traded Diggs

 

Robbie Anderson? OBJ? Like since 2018 what should the current Packers GM have done? Or is it just because he drafted a QB and has nothing to do with the weapons thing?

 

Tee Higgins over Jordan Love would have been good

 

Idk, feels like having a potential future QB is a good thing to have when you have a starter who is threatening to retire because you cut the 54th guy on your roster, or because he feels like following Pat Sajak.

 

He's threatening to do that because they took the QB.

 

Rodgers has had it great in Green Bay, consistently had a great pass blocking OL and he's always at least had decent-good receivers. I always support player > team so like if he wants out let him out, but I don't think he's gonna get much better support than what he has.

I also think drafting Jordan Love made a lot of sense given the 2019 Rodgers had + his age.

 

That's like renting a hotel in nervous anticipation of your wife leaving you and then when she finds out, she leaves you over it and then you're self reflecting like "Well thank God I was prepared for this!"

 

i disagree, and think that the teams that throw the most assets at trading for him, are gonna be teams with better rosters in place that are ready to win now with a good QB

 

There isn't a team in the NFL that has a better pass blocking OL than the Packers, and not many teams have a receiver on par w Davante.

 

Rodgers has always had a great OL, won’t take that away.

he usually has a good receiving corps but I’m not so sure he didn’t elevate every single WR1 he had. Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams both feel like their development had a lot to do with being able to work with someone who really understands how they need to run routes to maximize their success rate.

 

Packers got really lucky Aaron Jones was a 5th round pick who plays like a 2nd round pick because otherwise Rodgers ain’t had good runningbacks. The best TE Rodgers has had before Tonyan is a washed up mid-30s Jimmy Graham on the wrong side of a bunch of injuries.

you can definitely say the Packers haven’t always had a good defense, and usually it’s been a subpar defense, how many times have we seen them give up 35 points and Rodgers have to claw back? And it’s only the years their defense was good that they actually contended

 

Again Davante Adams still put up great numbers when Huntley was QB haha

Ahh, so Rodgers has a problem with taking a young QB in the first round in anticipation of your aging hall-of-fame QB continuing to age? Interesting.

 

Again this is all valid and the majority of that is because of the prior regime

I dunno what beef Rodgers could have with the defense at the moment

 

I mean yeah. Aside from Rodgers, I would say OL is the one thing they really got right throughout his career. But even then it’s not as though Rodgers literally WALKING INTO THE LEAGUE with elite pocket presence has nothing to do with that. He has a hand in that as well.

 

Like Rodgers first year as a starter? Better pocket presence than Trevor Lawrence. I’d say that without blinking. That was probably his most impressive trait right away, aside from his raw arm talent. He’s not a QB who puts a lot of stress on his OL.

 

No one is saying Rodgers isn’t beyond elite because he is and if he gets traded he will improve whatever team he goes to

my biggest issue or question is I don’t know why he’s complaining other than not being happy they drafted a young QB
