If you think Tonyan is anything other than a product of Rodgers the conversation is basically over because it's a stick in the mud lol.

 

The players might turn out good. It's undeniable that going QB/RB for a team that already has Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones is bad process

This is ultimately 100% the correct take. Also, the other person who was difficult with their team and wanted them to make certain moves and the org ignored them in favor of the "team" just watched their QB walk away and win a SB with a team that would listen,

 

What? I said the bears and Vikings have been what they are because they have whiffed on QB the past ten years or so but the Bears have potentially rectified that with what I think is the best QB prospect from this past draft

 

And so if Rodgers is traded or retires, and Love is a bust, the Packers will be....?

In a bad spot for sure - I’m not denying that

I’m not advocating for the Packers to trade Aaron Rodgers and I know if he leaves they won’t be a super bowl contender

my issue is I just don’t get his current criticism about the current GM since he hasn’t done a bad job at all

 

But I will say, the unacceptable thing for Rodgers to do is tell potential free agents he wont be there in 2021. At that point, he's actively hurting himself if they could have signed a great WR or extended Davante, but those dont happen because he's telling people he's gone.

Rip the GM, complain and draft picks; but dont actively poison the well you drink from currently

I didn’t say Tonyan is the best either but he’s clearly a good TE

 

A Rodgersless Packers is more likely to finish 4th in the nfcn than 1st

 

I'll give you good odds on Tonyan not being a top 3 TE in any of these categories this year: Receptions, TDs, Yards.
