Foxboro is a pain in the ass and in desperate need of another highway that leads to it, but man another stadium in Boston would be a shit show. The Garden is the best, logistically and Fenway is the worst. Can’t imagine ADDING to that nightmare.

why would you not have transit that goes directly to the stadium’s doorstep

 

I feel like not enough thought is being put into how hard it is to engineer transit and stadiums and what not by those in this thread lol.

 

The Cotton Bowl in Dallas is perfectly placed in the city. Transit right to the front steps. Surrounded by great restaurants and bars. Excellent options for parking/walking.

well yeah, the bigger cities get the more they have to gerrymander districts to win elections lmfao... cause their lying ass rhetoric doesn’t work on people who live near, and can clearly see all the urban issues in this country

 

the setup of Philly's stadiums really is perfect....especially with Xfinity Live right there too

 

and they’re really good at emptying that parking lot in a quick, efficient way too. You’d expect to be stuck in gridlock but post game traffic moves smooth for such a huge city. They have a system of traffic re-direct back onto I-95 that works really well

 

I personally think Philly and Baltimore did it right - putting all the stadiums in the same place and giving them practically their own highway exits. Philly’s is right by FDR park which is pretty dope too.

I love FDR park. The skatepark under the highway looks exactly like it does in THPS2 lol... I mean the setting isn’t accurate, it’s way in the back of FDR park, not just on the other side of a fence from Center City like it is in the game. But the game did an exact replica of FDR skatepark’s ramps, rails and bowls.

 

FDR Park is awesome. They closed the golf course and made it public green space so it's even bigger now

 

Cotton Bowl in Dallas and the Garden in Boston are definitely great locations

AT&T Stadium location is garbage but I get it

 

Infrastructure is hard I couldn't do it I've seen my SimCity results

 

Ford Field is right in the middle of downtown. I miss tailgating games so much.

 

Here’s me checking out FDR skatepark in March 2018, couple hours before my first and only Terrain show in Philly. Also went to South Street and got a cheesesteak from Jim’s Steaks and two vinyls from Repo Records.

another time I went to Philly there were some damn good skaters hitting the LOVE fountain

 

i am a beast at sim city and it makes me very critical of city infrastructure decisions in real life lol

been playing Sim City 3000 and Sim City 4 since I was like 12

 

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but moving the Braves out of the city was an improvement. The old Braves stadium area was a mess — close to nothing, just had parking lots around it and they refused to develop it for whatever reason, not close to public transportation, also very very poorly accessible by car.

The new stadium has its share of stupid — it is even further from public transportation and there is next to no parking infrastructure in that area (and don’t get me started on the subsidies), but it solved the two biggest pain points in that the traffic in that area is a whole lot better and there is now stuff to do other than tailgating in a parking lot at the new stadium since they put together a whole complex around it

Not sure if it’s correct, but I saw someone point out that the Panthers now have the youngest roster in the league. In Rivera’s final year we had the oldest roster in the league and we sucked. That’s a pretty big roster flip in a year and a half span.

Hopefully Rhule can continue plugging in the right players. I know the QB situation is still shaky but I’ve been a huge fan all of the other moves. The defense is shaping up to be really fun. We are much faster and more athletic team since the day he arrived.

yeah see if you’re gonna do suburban you have to make that suburb an “attraction” on its own. I’m fine with how Atlanta did Braves Stadium / The Battery because you can make it into a whole day of fun. Things like FedEx field being in Landover MD / the Meadowlands being in East Rutherford NJ are B-O-R-I-N-G

but yes they need to extend the MARTA to Marietta... and racist white people need to stop voting it down because black citizens from central ATL are coming to their area, whether they like it or not
