its not. I looked it all up last night.

Olympic swimmers and a few major tennis events... and the Manchester United for awhile in the EPL league... are the only ones who have done it more than 7 times.

Golf, yes you can accumulate trophies across multiple championships but winning a specific league or event more than 7 times simply doesn’t happen. Tennis, yeah Roger Federer has won Wimbledon 8 times, that’s the one major example I could find. Racing championships don’t get won more than 7 times - the 3 best NASCAR drivers all got 7 championships, the two best formula 1 drivers got 7 championships. It hasn’t happened in any of those leagues since the 1960s.

I can't think of someone that has 8 championships since 1969.

Glenn Anderson’s 6 Stanley Cups are the most since 1968.

Robert Horry’s 7 Finals are the most of any NBA player since that 60s Celtics team

The last guy to win more than 5 World Series retired in 1968

I did forget to look up boxing and UFC. But. I covered all the other bases I think.

Like. Tom Brady really out here trying to make international history and I guess if I was in his shoes I would too. But I reserve the right to be annoyed as a not - Tom Brady fan lol. Especially because talent wise I don’t think he’s above all the best competitors in every other sport. He’s up there, but even though he wins the most, he’s not even the most impressive QB in the NFL

Ha, I was figuring the DAK-WFT thing was just a social media person looking for a little stats boost; follow the WFT and chuckle as people send you impressions and all...but this is weird.

And Horry is far from the best dude on those teams

Russell winning 11 feels kind of Gretzky-ish, in that how is anyone gonna reasonably top that? Like, Brady has to play 4 more years AND win a SB in all those years just to tie

  10. Is Dak a RFA?

    Physically, he's pretty unimpressive...

However, he is the greatest leader in sports history and he plays the position better than anyone ever has.

I used to say that Peyton Manning was the best passer in the NFL, but Brady was always the best quarterback.

They weren't running Bruce Arians/Byron Leftwich's scheme in Tampa. Tom Brady was running that entire offense.

  12. there are only two teams in the NFC that I can see winning the conference in 2021 - Bucs and Rams

If the 49ers stay healthy and get mediocre QB play, I think they've got a shot too.

SEA/SF/LAR can all beat Tampa Bay

Russell's 11 in the 50s-60s NBA is way less impressive than Brady's 7 in the 00s-20s (god) NFL

  15. I do not think Seattle can beat Tampa Bay and unless San Francisco gets an upgrade at QB I do not think they can beat Tampa Bay

If WFT is able to get above average QB play I think they will make some noise in the NFC

  17. sure there will be teams that make noise but there are only two that can win the NFC

Then again, it is about who shows up on Sunday and who catches fire at the right time. I can see Packers hitting the ground running next year and have a really good start that kind of falls apart in the back half. I can also see the Rams figuring it out at the right time next year and getting hot in November/December, which is so important.

people thought that this year, and probably the year before. Russ can only save them for so long and I don’t see 12-4 again, but could see them hovering around 8-8 or 10-6 at the peak I think.

  25. the thing is the Packers were so fucking consistent in 2020 until the NFC championship game and that's why it hurts that much more and it's unlikely they'll replicate it again during Rodgers' remaining years.

The Packers are not going to be good next year. They have the benefit of being in a poor division but that's it.
