you’d probably appreciate this story that’s tangentially related — one of my friends from the church I grew up at lived in Jacksonville for most of his life and is a Jags fan and he was visiting his parents and was at the mailbox for some reason and was talking to his parents’ new neighbor that he had never met before who was taking the trash to the street. He finally mentioned to the new neighbor that he looked very familiar and he couldn’t put his finger on why and it was because it was James Robinson and he finally said some tell that gave it away

 

Now I've got 2 name facts that made me laugh today.

The other learning that Mr. Rogers is named after his grandpa, Fred McFeely, and with that name he went on to make a kids show and not be a pedophile, which seems astronomically unlikely

 

Everytime I get a notification for this thread all I think about is how bad the steelers are gonna be

 

i think the Steelers will be p good if that makes you feel any better. 8-8 at worst and probably a playoff team

 

there are also like 8 guys in this QB draft class who the Steelers could maybe take to develop who would be a more interesting backup QB than Mason Rudolph so there’s still hope for another 2.5 weeks!

This is kind of the problem. Even if Ben gets hurt, we wont be bad enough to get an elite top 5/top 10 type player. Its a good problem to have, but, also eventually hollows your team out

Instead we brought back Josh Dobbs to compete with Haskins for the #3 role and Rudolph's job got incredibly safe

 

ugh this is the worst

 

Yeah steelers won't draft a qb. First three rounds will be OL, RB, OL in some order I think

 

Is 9-8 or 8-9 the new mediocre record? Or is everyone definitively good or bad now?

Also I like the dobbs signing. Ben likes him and dobbs seems like a great x's and o's guy. He's a rocket scientist after all.

 

Always viewed 7-9, 8-8, and 9-7 as the mediocrity tier. So 8 guess now just 9-8/8-9??

 

7-10 is the border between bad and mediocre but I think 10-7 is the starting point for good if that makes sense.

 

Like you can be a good team and have things break a bad way and stumble to 7-10. I don’t think you can be 10-7 and not be at least pretty good.
