I really don’t want to keep this going but to be clear privacy-based cases can proceed confidentially even in Texas , meaning that the name of the plaintiff is not made public but the defendant can still find out the name and go through discovery, including depositions, but they are just held to a confidentiality standard for the identity. So it’s not an either/or situation, the defense and Watson always would have had an opportunity to find out and confront who is accusing him. The lawyer for Watson is making it seem that way but it’s just not true and he’s always been a shady lawyer also imo. The problem here is that the plaintiffs lawyer has been trying the case in the media and releasing Instagrams and texts so the judge said basically it wouldn’t be fair to the defendant to have the plaintiffs lawyer be hiding behind privacy for the names but disclosing all this other information. I don’t agree with that decision and I think they should have kept the names from the public but I can’t say I blame the judge with how the plaintiffs lawyer has acted.

As long as it’s only up to like 10 or something I’d be down, feel like anything higher will be too expensive.

these two things are not compatible man haha. You want better than Mac, you gotta trade up to pick 4 with Atlanta most likely

the other top QBs are unusually likely to go 1-2-3-4 this year. And even in the best case scenario, I don’t think the fourth guy is falling out of the top 8

I don't think Mac is going as high as the media is saying.

Exactly. That’s why I’m saying Mac is the best option for WFT haha. I think Mac Jones will go at earliest to Denver, at latest to WFT... but WFT will have move up if they want to *make sure* because I could see a later team like New Orleans trying to get above their original pick.

I think NE is gonna target Mond but if Mac falls in their lap, good chance they just take the opportunity considering they didn’t have to trade up. This is why I have WFT moving above them - but at 13, because of Minnesota staying put to draft Darrisaw

I don't think Darrisaw falls to Minny either haha

that’s fair and I agree when it comes to my own value. Wouldn’t put it past Denver still though haha. However, I don’t think they’re LIKELY to take him, just a chance they will.

my real prediction is that he’s going in the teens

Man I’m sorry Pitts IS receiving too much hype. When’s the last time you’ve seen a nationally recognized analyst imply that a prospect is going to be in the HALL OF FAME before he’s set foot on the field? “Gold-jacket talent”

    34F72E74-5406-4A78-9BCA-CE4B4C008FD7.png

literally the only TEs in our lifetimes who have made the HOF are Tony Gonzalez and Shannon Sharpe.

Gonzalez retired more than 5k yards ahead of the second TE at the time, and is still 2K yards ahead of the runner-up Jason Witten (15k vs 13k). Meanwhile Sharpe retired 2K yards ahead of his runner up of the time, Ozzie Newsome (10k vs 8k). Newsome himself retired 1300 yards ahead of the previous highest yards TE, Kellen Winslow (6.7k).

You basically have to demolish every other TE in history to get into the HOF, and it’s only gonna get harder with several MORE productive WRs waiting to get in. I really don’t think we’ve “never seen” a weapon like Pitts, he’s amazing but I’m not automatically putting him above Tony Gonzalez.

I think Pitts is Jimmy Graham - an elite, strong-hands receiving TE with a wider catch radius than anyone in the league, who can beat CBs from time to time. That right there is already very high praise. But just cause he’s damn good doesn’t mean we need to be crowning him a “gold jacket” talent.

Consider this - the last TE to make the Hall of Fame has literally almost double the yards of Kelce, Graham, and Gronkowski. Kelce is the only one with a shot to match Gonzalez in yards and that’s gonna require him staying healthy and staying good through his mid 30s. Kelce just broke the single season yards record for a TE and still has THAT far to go to surpass TG.
