Weapon isn’t a position. If you have good WRs, take Pitts. If you don’t have good WRs, take Chase or Smith.

 

Right cause Pro Bowl matters more than production and games haha.

seriously, Waller’s 2020 would be solid but not excellent numbers for a WR1. It’s a perfect example of how TE’s are used more opportunistically.

 

You could also argue that every draft has 10 WRs worth taking in the first 2 rounds. Elite TEs are harder to find. The caveat is, they're also harder to evaluate.

I get that Pitts is a pretty rare TE but I still value a top-prospect WR1 more, and I think an offense that avoids using their TE in the running game is making a sacrifice.
