This strikes me as the right track; but I'd say Bengals owner. One of the most notoriously cheap franchises of all-time, I can see them not wanting any player smart enough to think of their own health and safety and instead want people who will charge headfirst into potential death.

Yeah that could easily be Urban Meyer. I’m already bracing myself to be pissed when he brings toxic players to our team.

    Like Trevor Lawrence?

Or Trevor Low-rence as I like to call him.

I wanna say I doubt it but after he immediately tried to bring that strength coach to the nfl, wouldn’t be surprising at all

Lawrence is fine, worst thing he ever did is tell Justin Fields he’s gonna be “fucking his mom” because he was salty he lost lmao

super immature maybe but no scandals have come out

he was asked about it directly in an interview and admitted to it lol. After the Championship loss he allegedly told Fields “I’m still going #1 overall and I’m still gonna be banging your mom” or something like that

He tried to spin it like “I’m just competitive that’s just who I am I’m never gonna quit” but he stuttered a lot... you could tell he was embarrassed / caught off guard that someone in the media heard him say that lol

Lawrence is a high floor moderately high ceiling guy, punch me in the feet if I'm wrong. His absolute ceiling is Matt Ryan.

Agreed. But people talk about him like he's in that Manning / Brees / Brady stratosphere where he can carry a team on his back.

No prospect is in that stratosphere

I think the best QB prospects of all time are (in no order) Aikman, Manning (x2), Luck, Bradshaw.

If I had to tier it by 1st overall picks

(Elite, any team would've taken them #1)
Tier 1: Aikman, Manning, Manning, Luck, Bradshaw, Elway

(MOST teams would've taken them #1)
Tier 2: Palmer, Vick, Bledsoe, Burrow, Testaverde, Lawrence

(Worth going first overall to a QB needy team)
Tier 3: Winston, Stafford, Carr, Alex Smith, Newton, Bradford

(QB Desperate teams overdrafting guys out of need)
Tier 4: Murray, George, Mayfield, Goff, Russell, Couch

You moved Bradford down one, I'm good with that list now.

  23. I feel like Lawrence should be in the first group. He's been the presumed #1 pick for over 2 years now.

I'd have him in there except there are a LOT of people arguing Wilson over Lawrence. Nobody debated any of the other guys because there was nothing to debate.

    Also seen Fields > Lawrence.

Saw plenty of Herbert > Burreaux last year too.
