Isn’t new era supposed to be the coolest and hippest out there or was that only in the past? I remember new era was very modern but it’s probably been a decade since then. Maybe they just hired a new era intern instead.

the NFL isn’t that particular about who they hire in for these sorts of things apparently lol. I’m still pretty stunned my roommate conducted all the replays for every WFT home game this year, that’s just nuts. 26 year old freelance video editor running a huge part of one of the highest rated local broadcasts.

I’ve realized the bengals gm actually sucks so I wouldn’t be surprised. A lot of their recent drafts were just from a dude who reads a lot of mocks and usually that’s not how good nfl teams build. I’m not sure they were nearly as “stacked” as people thought, they just had a really good defensive and offensive front which is how you make the playoffs every season but meh beyond that. That’s why they’re so empty on talent now, no idea why they let the good players they did develop leave.

 

Also wouldn’t be surprised if matt rhule thought this but still have no idea how much power he has over the draft now that fitterer is there.

I don't know Matt Rhule personally or anything like that but I did interview him a bunch of times when I was on Temple's student newspaper. He never struck me as an old-school football guy, nor did he come off as a particularly progressive football thinker. I would imagine there are far more crusty people in the league than him, but I also wouldn't be shocked if I was wrong
