What makes you say that? A lot of teams that pick a few picks above us really love him.

including the Titans. Which I HATE cause he’s a great fit for them as well. I can’t imagine they’re targeting him with their late second.

@broken22 @Fucking Dustin My main point is you don’t have to go to THAT place to get an A+ Maryland seafood experience. Just like there’s no place that’s THE fried chicken spot in Atlanta. It’s the local culture, every fuckin seafood shack and bar/restaurant and diner does it well, and cheaper than the big name places who are attracting tourists.

shit, there’s a no frills diner in Canton, (a way cooler part of Baltimore than Jimmy’s is in)... called the Sip & Bite that was featured by Guy Fieri on Food Network for their crab cakes. Their two crab cake dinner costs $17.

I'd pretty much say anyone that is being consistently mocked in the mid-20s is not a lock for the first round.

Ah okay, that’s fair. I just know that he’s been receiving a lot more buzz lately after that Pro Day. For me personally, it confirmed the tape is no joke and he’s actually bigger and faster than I thought.

    Is it?

    That is too bad nvm

You really can't base anything off post pro day hyped. Literally every prospect this year is getting hyped off their pro day.

he’s had a lot of additional visits scheduled with teams since. That’s what I’m talking about, not just media hype. Ravens, Browns, Titans, Patriots, Saints... of the teams that met with him recently, the only one I think would take him with a round 2 pick is the Broncos.

Idk I could definitely be wrong. I wouldn’t have any questions about taking the most versatile, highest ball production, and also one of the most athletic linebackers in the first round.

This isn't me dunking on you btw or dunking on Collins. I just don't really buy a lot of "the tea leaves say this" kinda stuff based on how pro days look or team visits or stuff like that haha.

It's just as likely the Pats like Collins at 15 as it is that they're considering trading back and wanna know who their late first early 2nd options are is kinda what i'm saying.

Yeah and it’s fair not to read too much into it. I am admitting a lot of this is just me thinking he’s that good and being afraid the Titans will take him :(

He's not one of the most athletic though, which is why he could fall

Most players haven't had a ton of meetings prior to pro day.

He is when you consider his size. You don’t have to sacrifice block shedding and blitz capability to keep him on the field on passing downs. Strength and size is a big part of athleticism because it affords you more things. He’s Dont’a Hightower’s size but able to move well in space and handle zone coverage also.

His size was still being considered. He's very athletic, just not the most.

    (:

Well speaking of a hole in the wall, I forget the name of it but I got crab cakes in Baltimore once, the place was very nice but in the ghetto and I was recommended not to walk from the hotel. But my god the crab cakes were out of this world.

I’m not in the minds of these teams so I can’t really argue. And I’m not a pro scout. I just consider it logical that a very hard combination of skills to find is first-round value.

It would help any team to always have a thumper LB on the field who can just blow up blocks and get in the backfield, that sets the tempo. But the problem is it’s usually not practical because those kinda players tend to struggle to shift their weight when a route crosses their zone, and they can’t handle sub package responsibilities against 3 & 4 WR fronts. Going up against the Chiefs or Packers, usually your thumper is pretty much taken out of the game because they don’t even need to attack the trenches to win.

Zaven is one that not only can be out there in Cover 3 and stay nimble on his feet, but who also has the high football IQ to close some of those passing windows that would otherwise be open. Plus 6’5” length that he uses very well to get FFs and PBUs. I think that’s badass and a fairly rare combination haha.

    Here’s mine.

Note: in this scenario, SF wanted Lance the whole time, but knew ATL likes Fields and wasn’t interested in trading out of #4. By trading above them to #3, SF smokescreens ATL into thinking they want Fields, both getting in position to draft Lance, while also recouping some of that draft value they spent to get there.

    2) New York Jets – Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
