Jags, Jets, 49ers, Falcons, Lions, Panthers for sure...and then some combo of 3 of the Pats/WFT/Broncos?/Eagles/Dolphins in terms of not tipping their hands on a trade up or something.

 

I’m curious how many trade offers the Jags will get.

like, will almost every team except the ones with elite QBs give us a hefty offer?

will we even pick up the phone and humor them?

will the phone just not ring because it’s such a foregone conclusion that we aren’t trading? Will QB needy teams not waste time, that *could* be used to get the jump on negotiating with ATL?

I have to imagine NYJ isn’t trading either now that they got Sam Darnold out. And that SF isn’t trading BACK down lol.

Curious how the politics of the #1 pick are, when there’s this much of a widespread consensus on that QB being the safest prospect in years

Wilson is pretty scary good himself though, to where if they really wanna pay 2 extra firsts and 3 day two picks that’s hard to refuse.

I like it but with CMC and a decent backup in Bonnafon I honestly think there’s talent at 96 that I wouldn’t wanna pass at other positions

hahahaha, this might annoy you but I would say if that team can't win within it's window then the issue was definitely the quarterback

If the NFL gave Urban Meyer the keys to the draft like that and really let him get 20 of the top 100 picks? And he got to have the same recruiting advantages he had at UF and Ohio State? In that scenario, I'm taking the "over" on us winning a SuperBowl soon hahaha.

But it would never happen. He's gonna have to learn how to operate within the constraints of draft picks and salary cap, probably his biggest challenge, which he has admitted himself.

 

Dude was right though about free agency being stupid with how it's devolved into a bunch of panic signings instead of actually giving players and organizations time to get to know each other.

 

I get that, but I also get why tampering is really unfair haha. Any disgruntled player could be putting all his energy into talking to other teams. All teams do it a LITTLE bit extra-legally but they have to be very, very discreet.

 

If tampering was legal I would be sending gift baskets to good Titans players every time one of them got upset hahaha

I absolutely vibe with a coach who puts pass rush & trench dominance second in priorities behind QB. I like my team to be a pain in the ass to opponents and to make them have unusually sloppy games.

 

wouldn't it be hilarious if SF trading up itself was a ploy - just to make the QB market more expensive, and then capitalize by trading back down on draft day for MORE picks than they gave up?

Definitely not realistic but a silly thought I had

 

Um. Sleeper alert. How did this crazy athlete not make it into Division I-A?

I saw his name a lot on a list of teams' pre-draft meetings. He's from University of Charleston. Obviously he played against shitty competition but his highlights are just him making catches in double coverage all day. Interesting 5th-7th round receiver to watch.

 

Hey, if Trey Lance is a top five first round pick, then this is entirely possible. A lot of underrated players in FCS and DII.
