    Lets Go. Prestigious

    I've come around on him

basically just don't think of him as a TE and it becomes a lot more palatable to take him that high

honestly there is really no world in which Miami can fuck this up in my eyes

while I want to leave the top 10 with one of Pitts, Chase, Smith, or Waddle....ending up with Sewell really would be a home run as well

When you hit a mothafucka, you hit that mothafucka Prestigious

I see Kyle Pitts as a 1300 yard tight end or a 900 yard WR lol

he’s either the best receiving tight end of all time or a pretty good possession receiver

I think it’s stupid to see him as a WR1, a waste of what makes him special. There’s a reason the Raiders moved Darren Waller to TE. Pitts needs to go to a team that is creative about using a TE, not a team that sees him as a WR

Mike Gesicki is a TE technically too...he lined up in-line less than 20% of the snaps in 2020

I'm just saying....Pitts should not be used in-line every down. I don't think you'll get the best out of him that way.

I think of him like a team thinks of a good hybrid safety/LB. Like, 10 years ago, most teams didnt really have the role or an entire defense carved out around it...but now, a smart team knows the mismatches. A pulling guard isnt agile enough to stop it, and a WR isnt physical enough to stop it.

God help the ILB who gets schemed into covering Pitts

That said, its not like he has >4.6 speed and is slotted in as a TE as a result. If you add his height difference to a slightly lower vertical, in measurement/combine results, he's Justin Jefferson. I think you can rely on him for WR1 production just off the notion that out of the slot/in-line, he can run routes that are an easy first read while a deeper route develops behind him

I just think of how hilariously often Vince Williams got burned by a TE over the middle...and remember that none of them had anywhere near Pitts athleticism. Williams wouldnt even be in the frame on half his routes

Ngl, with how its lined up, leaving with Smith or Waddle should be considered a huge failure

I mean that’s probably true but analysts sure do. But fair point. It’s more hype than reality.

    The rivalry is back on

If anything, I think he’d be “big slot” in some packages as opposed to an outside receiver which effectively creates the same mismatches

But it'd be stupid for a team to take him that high, am I right?

If you don’t think he’s a good receiver and you don’t think he can play tight end either, then no. If you think he’s just a mismatch player like jimmy graham who you can use to easily shit allover linebackers, then yes.

Depends on the team. The dolphins who have 3 top 35 picks? Not soooo dumb since weapons for Tua is the goal, but i'd prefer other options. The Panthers? Eh, show me who is available at QB. The Eagles? Very dumb. The Bengals? Yes, very very dumb.

The giants will take him, get their coach mad when he can’t block and then just use him as only a slot receiver and he’ll be average lol while shepard sits on the bench and makes over 10m a year to be used in four receiver sets, which garrett almost never does.

Might be a wild take, I think the bengals are lying about sewell falling because they’re considering a trade down if someone throws a ton of picks at them.

They'd be dumb. Just get your generational talent at an important position, at your #1 position of need to protect your generational QB that you already killed once haha

They might also be higher on Slater than some and comfortable with either.

Also see: Chase Young and WFT. They had offers from teams, but decided an extra first wasnt worth losing a generational player.

Atlanta would be the dumbest team to take him and also, I almost cant imagine ATL not taking him. Its exactly the type of move they do.

I'll be so mad at the Bengals because the board is falling PERFECTLY for them. Like, you gotta want to mess up to mess this up.
